Not sure if the picture is photoshopped or not. It does not look like a RC model neither since it looks to be something as big as a normal size fighter. At least that's how it looks in terms of its size relative to the background and other objects in the picture.

Not going to judge size and perspective from a picture when Peter Jackson can get 6 feet tall men to look like dwarves and hobbits.

It also depends on the observer who's looking at the illusion. There are those who can spot a miniature model that is really at work after maybe a bit of deliberation. Of course, there are also those who have no clues that it's actually an illusion.

In the case of the above pictures, I can't be 100% sure, but it seems to me there're enough details to indicate that it's not a small scale model.

Totally get what you're saying, but I'm just not seeing enough detail. With resolutions this bad I often assume any potential detail could also be an artifact. The one detail that really makes me suspicious is the engine nozzle. It just doesn't look right.
