According to "China Aviation News", the "Taishan" (WS-13) turbofan powered "Xiao Long" (FC-1) has successfully completed taxi.
If a WS-13 powered FC-1 can finish its first take off test and such design can be eventually finalized and tested, it would mark a significant progress on making FC-1 fully indigenous.
Not only that it removes the biggest barrier for FC-1 to enter PLA service, it would also remove limitations for exporting by not relying on imported engines.

Ok stupid question...why is it a danger to touch that radar piece? Is it because of the radiation exposure?
There is no danger to yourself, unless the radar system is actively transmitting, then the danger is radiation. But even if there is no power to the aircraft, any physical contact with the antenna itself have risk of stress on the gimbal assembly that moves the antenna.
That whole thing is not that delicate. With your hand, you can actually move the antenna and feel the motors' resistance. But when the jet is exposed for maintenance, you want to protect these components from those who do not know how to behave around jets.
