Some more nice photos from more recent carrier ops:

The first is a couple of seconds later than the one we have normally seen as the aircraft in the forward starboard position is taking off.

Clearly, in the last two there, operational aircraft numbers 100 and 101 have been operating on the carrier.

...and here's a nice one I caught in passing from a video, aboard the Liaoning. Looks like they are definitely testing various weapons loads:

With WS-10s to boot!
I assume the fact that the PLAN has yet to put WS-10A mounted J-15s on Liaoning shows how careful they are in minimizing the chance of accidents. However, I guess soon (within this year) the the PLAN would have to test WS-10A mounted J-15 (B)s on Liaoning and make sure they work, or else there's only limited supply of AL-31s.

As of now the AL-31 is not in limited supply China has plenty of those engines to go around

If naval WS-10 comes online it's because China wants to use indigenous engine and not because Al-31 is in short supply
