There can be mechanical loaders. As seen in the low manning requirement and high mechanization and automation levels in Russian nuclear submarines, the philosophy of mechanization and automation in other navies can be substantially different from those of the USN.
They would have designed the mechanical loader very carefully, remembering American Airlines Flight 191,

..this being the primary aircraft trainer for the aircraft carriers ...

The question remaining is, are the J-15A and the notional "J-15B" the same aircraft?

yes, he did show a video, but there's no reason to think that this photo is from his video. Also, we still don't know which of the catapults is the EM cat and which is the steam cat.


And who knows. I'm just calling it J-15A/T/B right now because the designation for future J-15 variants is all over the place.

Well Let's say

J15A are the 24 x J15 for 001

We have seen J15S twin seater but not sure if they continued that project post testing ?

J15T is CATOBAR or EMALS testing

J15D is the EW varient already flew

J15B is the production J15 for CV-17 or 002
