the Liaoning is most likely much faster than the Kutz as well. Even a + 4/5 kts increase in wind over deck makes a huge difference.

He do 715 kg according Huitong which is not infallible i see also about 1 t sure don't exist missiles as it which have a weight of only 350 kg

Further, in front of its foldable wings, there is an antenna for data link reception, allowing the missile to be guided by ships or helicopters. This is a major distinguishing feature between YJ-83 and YJ-8 (and YJ-8A).

I believe that's just a picture showing the horizontal stabilizer wing at a particular angle instead of arrester hook, if that is what you meant to show.Before there was the J-15 China experimented with arrested landing with J-8IIG planes. This happened in april 1987. Its also said that China tested and evaluated and eventually reverse engineer the steam catapults of the HMAS Melbourne.
