J-15 carrier-borne fighter thread

They could spot the take off birds along the island in the appropriate position, and then move the landing aircraft further back after landing. It would cause them to have enough delay in the landing pattern, but it would allow them to do both simultaneously.
At your third and second last photo we can see two aircraft parked the other way nose in along the island and five at the bow - the last one blocking the runway. That means, a group of seven aircraft just land at the carrier.

I do not belive, that simultaneously take offs are possible in such a situation.

In that situation they are not.

They are probably not exercising simultaneous air ops there.

But they will want to develop it if they haven't already and the manner which I spoke of would give them the opportunity to do so.

They are probably still working on launch and recovery times this process can take years

How quickly can they launch and recover how many can they do how quickly can they turn around a fighter etc etc

Recovery and launch rates takes times also they still need to reach full strength in terms of air wing then you have movement of aircraft operations

Carrier business is big boys stuff

Well, there are seven seen there...and that is a goodly amount.

On an earlier post we saw this:

That's eight at once.

I am still looking for something over eight. I would prefer something in the double digits...meaning 10 or more.

Keep looking...the first one who posts and authentic picture of 10 or more J-15s aboard Liaoning gets an official "SD Atta BOY!" Award!

Note. I say J-15s, not a combination of J-15s and helos. Otherwise that photo above would already fulfill the challenge.

LOL

Yes, they are using the Liaoning to gradually get a goodly number of pilots certified for carrier operations and that is a very good thing for them.

it means as they build enough aircraft, and get the second carrier out there, they will come up to speed all that much faster.
