Regarding the latest images of tank-loaded serial J-10Bs ready for delivery to an operational unit and their usually psed/erased serial numbers ... are there at least any reports or rumours about their final base & unit ????

I know these spotters usually "kill" the serials to avoid the internet-security ... but hey, they must know these numbers and as such they must know their units .... !!

Thanks in advance,

And now the question is: is this a J-10C .. or "only" a block 2 J-10B !??

According to Adam.Y J-10B is the ones with 1XX numbers, there are currently around 50 plus J-10B built. Mean while J-10C is the one with 2XX numbers and in steadily production at current time. J-10B and J-10C are basically the same from the outside except there is an extra knife like antenna on the middle part(upper fueslage) of J-10C. But J-10C use newer radar and avionics with stronger comprehensive combat capability compared to J-10B.

No.1035 J-10B is being used as testbed for the new variant of WS-10X (Taihang) to collect performance and parameters information. It's courrent flight status is stable/steady.

No. 1051 might be re-painted as No. 201 is the J-10C original prototype used to test the new avionic system. Because J-10B and J-10C aerodynamics are basically the same, and with the already purchased 260 AL-31FN engines/spares the last few years. The current J-10B and first batch of J-10C will still be using AL-31FN engines. And subsequent batches of J-10C will then using the domestic Taihang heart.
