Well I heard that a PLAAF aircraft regiment consists of 3 squadrons so I doubt we'll see a regiment until we have about 60-68 J-10Bs.

Not really ... usually a regiment consists of 24-28 aircraft (20-24 single seater + 4 twin-seater ... recently often a few more trainers) !

siegecrossbow hello, no I really do not know but you better keep confidential from my point of view; and as you know we are constantly under surveillance by the British since several years ago, they manage to get into our forums and other actions that are irrelevant to not lose track of it.

And now 52 & 53 too .... but still no confirmed 5-digit serial of an operational regiment.

As usual whenever we have photo's coming out of China. How do we know its not photoshopped ?

The PLAAF seems to be happy with the J-10B. The current production run is about to hit the 60 mark. There is a lot of talk that a new batch of J-10B's with domestic WS-10A engines is coming soon. But after so many years waiting for that engine I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe the J-10Bs are busy preparing for the September parade, so they can come out as a surprise, like the J-11Bs in the 2009 parade.
