... any confirmation, what type yesterday crashed ??

Concerning the text in that report it came down at Taizhou ...

Firefighters work to put out a fire in a factory in Taizhou, east China's Zhejiang Province after a fighter jet crashed there on Wednesday evening, May 11, 2016.

The closest base to Taizhou is Huangyan/Luqiao (ZSLQ) also known as Taizhou (Pos: 28°33'45"N 121°25'44"E), where the 4. Naval Division, 12. AR equipped with J-10AH/SH is flying.

So another J-10 down ??

What type crashed ? Of course the type with an AL31.
Last crash just a few months back, the AL31 fanboys were desperate to blame the poor the duck sucked into the AL31.
I think they'll say it suck in an ostrich this time.

To those who has one track and small wit ... ...
:D

It was not an engine issue.

The plane crashed while performing Extreme Low Level flying 25 meter altitude during a night time confrontational exercise.

The plane hit a high rise building after the engine sucked an unidentified object. Not an engine issue. It was likely a JH-7 plane.

Are you just making this up or do you have a source for it?

And why would they dare to allow night time confrontation exercises over a freaking urban area, it doesn't make sense.

Hmm .... don't know which is more pathetic.
Making up stories to blame the venerable workhorse JH7 or doing so just to defend the AL31 ?

Sure, blame the duck, the ostrich, the pilot, the JH7, the building, the ground, gravity. Anything but AL31. :)

I suggest you visit a public link such as CCTV-7 ( 军 事 报 道 ).

All PLA commanders who buy into Chairman XI concept of (( Able to Battle and Win Wars + Taking the Battle to the Enemy Territory ) by applying the Core principle of ( Innovation on Everything )) have been urgently and diligently designing the PLA exercises to be as close as possible to the real battle environment.

Let's say for now ... ... taking the battle across the sea to Japanese cities.

This means PLAAF pilots must use every terrain features to hide their equipment from being scanned by enemy radar.

If PLAAF do not practise Night Time Confrontational exercises now, then when the East and South China Sea War breakout, ... .... how can you fight on the Enemy Territory and win the battle ??

It is better to anticipate and spot all the problems now ( for example * Night Time Low Level Flying * Confrontational exercises ~ and how to avoid collision with civilians Quad Copters ), and finding the Innovative and Scientific solutions asap. ** Discovering the problems on the battlefield is a recipe for disaster and National humiliations.

In other words you are making stuff up and you have no idea what plane crashed let alone what it was doing before it crashed.

@ Blitzo

You are well known senior in SDF.
Being careless is damaging your reputation.
Have you take the time to watch all those videos from end to end ?
Apparently not ... ... this is my last word on this.

Which videos specifically are you using to claim that the crashed jet was a JH-7, which videos are you using specifically to claim that the crashed jet was doing night time confrontational exercises?

If you cannot point to evidence to support your claim, then you are making up conclusions without any premises -- simple.

No one is disputing that the Chinese military is obviously conducting more confrontational exercises and increasing their training, but that does not mean there is any reason to believe the jet was engaging in those activities prior to crashing.

If we really want to speak about reputation, the reputation you have developed is of making up massively specific claims which are unsubstantiated and illogical at best.

It is natural we are going to see more PLAAF mishaps, incidents and crashes in Xi's time as CMC chair. He really is pushing combat exercises under more and more intense realistic scenarios. Keep in mind the USAF also has plenty of mishaps, incidents and crashes...and pretty much every pilot will say they've never not lost control of an aircraft they've flown.

If you want to develop an edge over your adversaries, then you need to push yourself and your aircraft more and more to the edge. It's great to see the PLAAF (and other branches in the PLA as well) finally do this.
