A superpower that acts as both a judge and an executioner. What could go wrong? Yet they have a whole gang of MSM to shill for her.

Well they ain't called #FakeNews for nothing, you should know that by now. For one, if it ever was an air-delivered chemical attack, the effect should be far more wide spread and most of all, aid workers won't be able to provide first-repsonse without proper protection, especially sarin which can be absorbed via skin contact.

The only satisfaction is that we know enough not be fooled, but we can't say the same about the ignorant public...

Iraqi unit with US and Australian advisers hit by ISIS chemical weapon

Twenty five Iraqi soldiers required medical treatment after their unit was hit with a mustard agent fired from an ISIS rocket on Sunday, according to

. Their unit included American and Australian advisers, none of whom were reported injured in the attack.

"Daesh has used chemicals in the vicinity of Mosul," said Maj. Gen. Joseph Martin, the commanding general in charge of land forces operating in Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq. However, the attacks have had "no impact on Iraqi security forces, and no impact on our forces," Gen Martin added.

Six Iraqi soldiers were also treated for breathing problems at a nearby field clinic, Iraqi Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool told the Associated Press.

U.S. officials in Baghdad declined to comment on whether U.S. and Australian advisers were treated for exposure to the chemical agent, or whether they were present when the attack occurred.

"We share the same risks as Iraqi forces," Martin said. "We are forward with the Iraqis."

The chemical weapon attack was delivered by indirect fire and "Iraqi security forces were in the vicinity of one of the strikes, Martin said.

The chemical attack by ISIS is the second of its kind over the last few days as Iraq forces struggle to liberate the denser western side of Mosul. The first attack occurred on Saturday in the Abar neighborhood of western Mosul. Seven Iraqi soldiers were injured in the attack, according to

.

Officials in Baghdad downplayed the threat of ISIS chemical weapons capabilities. The attacks have used "all low grade chemicals because [ISIS] has a low production capability," Martin said. Items exposed to the chemical attack have been sent back for further testing.

Iraqi Army officials told CBS News that protective masks have been distributed to protect forces operating in the area.

U.S. troops in Iraq already have all the appropriate equipment to operate in a contaminated environment and are capable of assisting Iraqi forces with further training in protecting their forces from chemical attacks, according to Martin.

The incidents are not the first known suspected chemical attacks carried out by ISIS militants in Iraq. Last March, Kurdish officials claimed Peshmerga forces were injured from a chlorine gas attack when an ISIS suicide bomber detonated a truck filled with gas canisters. Peshmerga forces near the scene of the incident complained of symptoms associated to chlorine gas, including nausea, vomiting, dizziness and weakness, according to

ISIS fighters were suspected of firing nearly

at the town of Taza, Iraq, in March, which injured nearly 800 people and killed one. In January, when Iraqi forces retook Mosul University, they

they believed had been turned into makeshift chemical weapons labs.

As Iraqi forces continue to push into western Mosul, fighting has become fiercer and the pace of operations has slowed to a crawl. We are " likely to see more atrocities from ISIS as it becomes more desperate," Martin said. Eastern Mosul was liberated in January, and has not seen an attack since operations in west Mosul began on February 19.

BBC Radio 4 said some hours ago that France has promised to publish proof that Assad was responsible for the poison gas attack in Idlib. After the failure of US to provide any proof perhaps France thought it should try to provide it despite not having personnel in the area. Or do they have people there helping the terrorists?

Sale of U.S. Arms Fuels the Wars of Arab States

As the Middle East descends into proxy wars, sectarian conflicts and battles against terrorist networks, countries in the region that have stockpiled American military hardware are now actually using it and wanting more. The result is a boom for American defense contractors looking for foreign business in an era of shrinking Pentagon budgets — but also the prospect of a dangerous new arms race in a region where the map of alliances has been sharply redrawn.

Last week, defense industry officials told Congress that they were expecting within days a request from Arab allies fighting the Islamic State — Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan and Egypt — to buy thousands of American-made missiles, bombs and other weapons, replenishing an arsenal that has been depleted over the past year.

The United States has long put restrictions on the types of weapons that American defense firms can sell to Arab nations, meant to ensure that

, the Obama administration has been far more willing to allow the sale of advanced weapons in the Persian Gulf, with few public objections from Israel.

“When you look at it, Israel’s strategic calculation is a simple one,” said Anthony H. Cordesman of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The gulf countries “do not represent a meaningful threat” to Israel, he said. “They do represent a meaningful counterbalance to Iran.”

Industry analysts and Middle East experts say that the region’s turmoil, and the determination of the wealthy Sunni nations to battle Shiite Iran for regional supremacy, will lead to a surge in new orders for the defense industry’s latest, most high-tech hardware.

The militaries of gulf nations have been “a combination of something between symbols of deterrence and national flying clubs,” said Richard L. Aboulafia, a defense analyst at the Teal Group. “Now they’re suddenly being used.”

Saudi Arabia spent more than $80 billion on weaponry last year — the most ever, and more than either France or Britain — and has become the world’s fourth-largest defense market, according to

by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, which tracks global military spending. The Emirates spent nearly $23 billion last year, more than three times what they spent in 2006.

Qatar, another gulf country with bulging coffers and a desire to assert its influence around the Middle East, is on a shopping spree. Last year, Qatar signed an $11 billion deal with the Pentagon to purchase Apache attack helicopters and Patriot and Javelin air-defense systems. Now the tiny nation is hoping to make a large purchase of Boeing F-15 fighters to replace its aging fleet of French Mirage jets. Qatari officials are expected to present the Obama administration with a wish list of advanced weapons before they come to Washington next month for meetings with other gulf nations.

American defense firms are following the money. Boeing opened an office in Doha, Qatar, in 2011, and Lockheed Martin set up an office there this year. Lockheed created a division in 2013 devoted solely to foreign military sales, and the company’s chief executive, Marillyn Hewson, has said that Lockheed needs to increase foreign business — with a goal of global arms sales’ becoming 25 percent to 30 percent of its revenue — in part to offset the shrinking of the Pentagon budget after the post-Sept. 11 boom.

American intelligence agencies believe that the proxy wars in the Middle East could last for years, which will make countries in the region even more eager for the

, considered to be the jewel of America’s future arsenal of weapons. The plane, the world’s most expensive weapons project, has stealth capabilities and has been marketed heavily to European and Asian allies. It has not yet been peddled to Arab allies because of concerns about preserving Israel’s military edge.

But with the balance of power in the Middle East in flux, several defense analysts said that could change. Russia is a major arms supplier to Iran, and a decision by President Vladimir V. Putin to sell an advanced air defense system to Iran could increase demand for the

, which is likely to have the ability to penetrate Russian-made defenses.

“This could be the precipitating event: the emerging Sunni-Shia civil war coupled with the sale of advanced Russian air defense systems to Iran,” Mr. Aboulafia said. “If anything is going to result in F-35 clearance to the gulf states, this is the combination of events.”

At the same time, giving the gulf states the ability to strike Iran at a time of their choosing might be the last thing the United States wants. There are already questions about how judicious Washington’s allies are in using American weaponry.

“A good number of the American arms that have been used in Yemen by the Saudis have been used against civilian populations,” said Daryl Kimball, executive director of the Arms Control Association, an assertion that Saudi Arabia denies.

Mr. Kimball said he viewed the increase in arms sales to the region “with a great deal of trepidation, as it is leading to an escalation in the type and number and sophistication in the weaponry in these countries.”

Congress enacted a law in 2008 requiring that arms sales allow Israel to maintain a “qualitative military edge” in the region. All sales to the Middle East are evaluated based on how they will affect Israeli military superiority. But the Obama administration has also viewed improving the militaries of select Arab nations — those that see Iran as a threat in the region — as critical to Israeli security.

“It is also important to note that our close relationships with countries in the region are critical to regional stability and Israel’s security,” Andrew J. Shapiro said
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
, when he was an assistant secretary of state for political-military affairs. “Our relationships with Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and many Gulf countries allow the United States to strongly advocate for peace and stability in the region.”

There is an unquestionably sectarian character to the current conflicts in the Middle East, nowhere more so than in the Saudi-led air campaign in Yemen. The Saudis have assembled a group of Sunni nations to attack Houthi militia fighters who have taken over Yemen’s capital, Sana, and ousted a government backed by Saudi Arabia and the United States. Saudi officials have said that the Houthis, a Shiite group, are being covertly backed by Iran. Other nations that have joined the coalition against the Houthis, like Morocco, have characterized their participation in blunt sectarian terms.

“It’s a question of protecting the Sunnis,” Mbarka Bouaida, Morocco’s deputy foreign minister, said in an interview.

But Sunni nations have also shown a new determination to use military force against radical Sunni groups like the Islamic State. A number of Arab countries are using an air base in Jordan to launch attacks against Islamic State fighters in Syria. Separately, the Emirates and Egypt have carried out airstrikes in Libya against Sunni militias there.

Meanwhile, the deal to sell

to the Emirates is nearing final approval. The drones will be unarmed, but they will be equipped with lasers to allow them to better identify targets on the ground.

If the sale goes through, it will be the first time that the drones will go to an American ally outside of NATO.

Anyone seen reports of ISIS chemical attack on allied troops from other news sources? It's more believable if there are different and independent sources on the story.

Bad news. Innocent Syrians are not the only ones who are facing the possibility of chemical weapon attacks. Just this past sunday, our own, found themselves under attack from the same chemical weapons terrorizing others in Iraq.

Humanity’s enemy, the Islamic State was somehow able to launch a chemical weapons attack against Iraqi, U.s. and Australian troops stationed in the area on Sunday.

As reported so far, there were no U.S. or Australia troops that suffered any severe injuries from the mustard agent, but it wasn’t the same for Iraqi soldiers. There were 25 Iraqi units that required emergency treatment after the attack hit.

Things just became very real, very quickly.

The Islamic State is enemy to everyone who does not eat, breathe, live and die for their ways. This is NOT the first use of chemical weapons in the area, as many of us already know.

However, this is the second attack used against an area where there could have been American casualties, in the the past two weeks. Either ISIS is stupid, or careless. Either way, it’s not good news for the good guys unless they are prepared for that level of ‘stupid’.

So, that is what they are doing, and plan hit the ground running with the plan.

Now, to help defend against future attacks, two officers of the Army have stated that they will be issuing gas masks. ISIS launched their first attack with a gas agent earlier last Saturday, reportedly it was a rocket FULL of chlorine.

ISIS is getting desperate, and it’s showing in their lack of strategy…they have no strategy other than, kill, kill, kill. This is the worst kind of enemy…they are not predictable.

They fear nothing, because they think they have their Allah on their side, and they are called of Allah to cleanse the earth of filth…to them that filth, is you, me, and everyone else who isn’t them.

As noted above…worst kind of enemy.

Coalition spokesman Air Force Colonel John Dorrian told The BBC, “the fight’s been very, very slow and very, very hard… it’s gut-busting.”

The coalition forces have cleared ISIS out of most of Mosul, but ISIS is still holding a portion of the city in the northwest.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians remain trapped in Mosul, ISIS’ de facto capital in Iraq.

“Civilians in Mosul face incredible, terrifying risks,” U.N. humanitarian coordinator for Iraq Lise Grande said.

“They are being shot at, there are artillery barrages, families are running out of supplies, medicines are scarce and water is cut-off,” she added.

Pray for our men and women on the ground in Iraq. Pray for our President and his team who plan to send ISIS to meet their maker…or in Trump’s words, ‘wipe them off the face of the earth’.

The human suffering being caused under the direction of the Islamic State, can not be ignored. We cannot become complacent and unaffected by the terror they are spreading.

That’s how they win.

I have seen it mentioned on two or three other places. But this is an odd way of presenting the news. In another place I read that the Americans and Australians weren't nearby and hadn't been in danger so the heading was fake news.
But there was of course US launching 59 cruise missiles because beautiful babies were killed in Idlib but when even more were killed in Aleppo province there was no US reaction.

Why is there no investigation? President Assad is practically inviting OPCW to visit Shayrat airbase, which US claimed to store sarin gas used in Idlib chemical attack.

. However, Western countries block Russia's initiatives on the matter. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, without explanation, blocked Russia's suggestions to send experts to the area of the alleged chemical attack, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

According to Lavrov, the OPCW prohibited sending specialists to the scene of the incident. "This has demonstrated the complete failure of the position of our Western colleagues," Lavrov said.

The minister added that Western countries obviously intend to change the ruling regime in Syria. The false information about the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government "is used to avoid the implementation of Resolution 2254, which provides for a political settlement involving all Syrian parties, and switch to the long-cherished idea of regime change," Lavrov stated.

Several days ago, Russia found a number of inconsistencies in photos from the site of the chemical attack in Syria's Idlib province. Russia provided the evidence to experts of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) claiming that the

Compare with what the US "wants", truth is actually irrelevent, if not also work against Washington's (or Langley / Pentagon, take your pick) interest.
