Aleppo, Syria (12:45 A.M.) – Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) launched a counter-offensive in the southern Aleppo countryside on Saturday night after the Syrian Armed Forces successfully cutoff their supply route along the Khan Touman-Ramouseh Road.

The jihadist rebel group began the counter-offensive after forestalling the Syrian Armed Forces’ advance on the imperative village of Al-Qarassi, which is located just east of another important village: Khan Touman.

Jaysh Al-Fateh’s counter-attack has proven some-what successful, as they were able to force the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to withdraw from Tal ‘Aqra near Al-Qarassi.

However, Jaysh Al-Fateh has been unable to reclaim Tal ‘Aqra due to the non-stop Russian airstrikes on their positions in Al-Qarassi and Khan Touman.

Tal ‘Aqra is situated along the Khan Touman-Ramouseh Road; if captured by the Syrian Armed Forces, it will give them fire control over the jihadist supply line to Aleppo City.

the hill from inside
... The captured hilltop by the Syrian Armed Forces was identified as Tal ‘Aqra ...
is called "Sanoubrat" in non-Government sources, which expectedly :) claimed it had been retaken yesterday (picture, not a video, from a drone available, so I won't post ... it wouldn't be problem for pro-Government sources to show they're on the hill, right?):

EDIT
OK to see the forest, not the trees :) the Government hasn't achieved much in Southern Aleppo lately, has it?

On the recent clash between YPG and Syrian Government, this is what I see.

As the IS' power is declining, a new question is getting closer to be answered, who is going to take control of the territory after IS left? Both Kurds and the government want, that's why the new clash after a long truce between YPG and government when their 1st priority was to fight IS.

YPG is the only force in north-east Syria that US has, US want to remain relevant in Syria, so propping up YPG recently. YPG sense the chance of taking the control and getting closer to their long-time vision of either a Kurds state or a Kurd de facto state like in Iraq and they must act now.

That put Turkey at odd with U.S. because the last thing Turkey want is a Kurdish base in Syria. On this account, Erdogan would rather choose Bashar than anyone else after realizing his toppling and replacing Bashar with a pro-Turkey figure did not work out. That explains Erdogan's recent 180 degree turn.

It also make sense for U.S. to want Erdogan gone when he became the road block. So Erdogan's accusation of U.S. involvement in the coup d'etat makes very good sense.

What can be learnt here is that, there are too many parties having different objectives in this mess. Alliances do not have a clear line, composition, nor a long life-time. Everything is fluid. There are surely more than two camps.

Syria: US ally’s razing of villages amounts to war crimes
13 October 2015, 18:18 UTC

A fact-finding mission to northern Syria has uncovered a wave of forced displacement and home demolitions amounting to war crimes carried out by the Autonomous Administration led by the Syrian Kurdish political party Partiya Yekîtiya Demokrat (PYD) controlling the area, said Amnesty International in a report published today. The Autonomous Administration is a key ally, on the ground, of the US-led coalition fighting against the armed group calling itself the Islamic State (IS) in Syria.

........
This article is from late last year after which the threat of Daesh let to an end to this practice. Now that Daesh is being defeated the trouble has come back and is supported by US aircraft. Russia and Turkey are opposed to the Balkanization of Syria, as is Syria itself of course. I was pointed to this article by an article in Dettsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten:
