I seriously doubt this leadership's ability to do anything at all but lip service to the buildup in Syria they are not noted for anything else that's what had led us to this crisis in the first place no one believes them

It is obvious who is more belligerent. Obama accused Assad of crushing peaceful protestors. That is such a lame accusation, considering the acts of aggression and destabilization efforts committed by the US.

Of course France was one of the countries that liberated the Libyans from having a functioning state and thinks the Syrians should also be better off without a state.

I've read that this might be an SCO operation rather than just a Russian op, and that Syria is being considered for membership in the SCO.

I think the chances for that are low though and China's main role will be as the re-developer for whichever areas of Syria and Iraq that manage to be pacified.

Like you said a UN mandate is highly unlikely even though it would be a good idea. However I actually think there is a higher chance that China will have some sort of military intervention against ISIS, however I doubt it'll be as large as Russia's intervention. And plus this is a rather good opportunity for China to finally gain some much needed experience for its military since I'm pretty sure anyone will welcome another major country who wants to destroy ISIS.
