Finally, even the officers have ditched the leather pistol pouch.
Images from the parade confirm that this is the garrison/work uniform. The second image also confirms this, as the lable reads "作业服", which literally means "work clothes".
According to the Chinese system, their "work fatigues" covers the "combat uniform" classification as well.
Looks like airborne and marines have discarded their bright blue camo. What they wear during the parade was green and brown. I hope this is the new uniform replacing current ones.
Finally, no more smurf camo! Now, if only their Djibouti detachment get theirs for good and proper.
Flight uniforms worn by Z-8 pilots. Zippered closure and pockets.

Probably they finally change out their blue Russian-style flight uniform for combat fatigue like that in the West...?

Still looks like the PLA helicopter flight suit is a one piece.
One piece flight suits are still used although increasingly of late on the phase out. It was mostly an issue of fire resistant materials with the FR Combat uniforms having emerged in use by infantry attacked to armor. Keeping the slight suit is less an issue.

The leather pistol pouches are cool but of the wrong colour, should have been black instead of brown leather which stands out like dog balls.

The manufacturer stated specs for the NVG allegedly, no mention of being coloured.
Able to identify human sized target at >= 50m away under 0.001lx and 8km visibility. CMOS based, OLED screen, >=9hr endurance and has its own source of illumination. Not a dedicated NVG used for fighting would be my guess, but an acceptable choice for mass issue.

Well done brown leather looks pretty good with the right set up. The recent pinks and greens reissue for the US Army looks damn stylish and that’s a rich dark brown leather accessories. However that is a Service uniform. A combat uniform isn’t the right setup for polished leather gear.
on a combat uniform The flap and design is arcane for a combat holster, It’s a take on a design that dates back to to the late 19th century.
The flap was the result of needing a meant to prevent dust or water from getting at the cylinder of a cap and ball revolver. The introduction of self contained cartridges and then even better semiautomatic magazine feed pistols meant that the flap was only to try and keep the pistol from flying out. A strap could accomplish that. If an officer needs to draw his pistol, the situation is dire, it’s not common but it would need to be fast. This is why increasingly the move to hard holsters for modern firearms. They allow a quick single handed draw. The flap demands either modification by removal the flap or restriction of it or a double handed draw.

Colored NGV are a rarity they demand a highly specialized modification in the form of a color wheel. This adds bulk and size to the system. This is why it isn’t used.
The other system used on very high end system is to use a digital complementary metal-oxide semiconductor this is more sensitive to light than traditional NGV. But it’s also more expensive. And in no light conditions like new moon both still run issues. This is where some would then add a thermal imager.

Image quality is rather poor, but it shows some details on the new kit.

This soldier is operating a smart terminal/device mounted to his chest in a foldable 'folio'. Also note the rank insignia and dog tag (with QR code) velcroed to the folio.

A look at the new tactical helmet. Note the wire management. I don't see where the wire plugs into.

What's the soldier on the left pointing to?

Compared to this earlier image, where a wire plugs into an external attachment on the helmet. Perhaps in the image above, the soldier was pointing to the new plugin point.

because it’s not. You can see the wire across the chest it then around his left side you can see it in the second picture where it snakes up behind his left ear and disappeared under the helmet. It reappeared on the back of the helmet coiled around and than runs under the cover on the left I am guessing to the NGV.

Well the one on the right is picking his nose.
the guy on the left is pointing to the wheel on the back of the suspension system for the helmet. That system looks very close to the one on Revision or Team Wendy where in its
Used to adjust the fit of the band. By twisting the dial the helmet fit is tighter or looser. It allows a more tailored fit.

That is not the same helmet system. so No. that system seems more like they were testing a heads up display which is part of that writing system

This guy has a radio antenna sticking out over his left shoulder. I am guessing he’s wearing the squad leader kit. mans that antenna is part of his digital setup probably wired to the tablet on his chest and Maybe the NVG?
