Infantry Combat Equipment (non-firearm): Vests, Body Armor, NVGs, etc.

General
I figure it's time to consolidate several dormant non-firearm-related threads on individual infantry equipment into one unified thread. Please share information on Chinese infantry equipment (e.g. ammo belts, body armor, boots, water canteens, camouflage, first-aid kits, tactical knee/elbow pads, binoculars, thermal-imaging cameras, night-vision goggles, etc.).

New NVG for the PLA?
Left placard: New Helmet-Mounted Panoramic Night-Vision Goggles.
Right placard: Thermo-Imaging Camera
P.S. I have no info. on the scope off on the far right.

This is my first post so please forgive me for my lack of experience, I am contributing what I can with my limited knowledge.:) None of these are new, just uploading to collate infantry equipment.

Several screen grabs from a military-industrial complex documentary... looks like a new MTP-style camouflage pattern:

Identical or similar MTP camo pattern seen in the 2015 Victory Day parades...Screen Shot 2017-12-31 at 01.28.39.jpg Same MTP-style camo pattern on a ballistic vest. And of course we have the goggles that have been commonly seen in the past few years...Screen Shot 2017-12-31 at 01.30.28.jpg

First let me say, MPT or Multi Terrain Pattern is just a modified licenced version of the Crye Precision Multicam pattern for the British MOD.
Multicam has either licenced or otherwise been issued cloned and produced widely in the military environment since the mid 2000s. Just about everyone has it. From Russia to Chilie, the U.S. to Austria Australia to Taiwan, Lebenon to France. Poland to Morocco.
At some point rumors started circulating that units in the PLA started issuing Multicam uniforms and gear. However I have never heard a Multicam licencing having been negotiated between the US based Crye Precision and the PRC.
Now form a functional perspective use of Multicam in the PRC makes sense. The pattern is for semi arid environments, it works well in deserts, urban, and sub tropical to tropical. It's a fair catch all pattern that only has issues in dense forest jungle and arctic climate.

Agreed, with the existing Type 07 in its various colour configurations should work fine in tropical environments where the multicam might not. The PAP seem to be using a kind of spinoff between a tropical Type 07 pattern with some of the multicam "style". But all this said I have never understood the marines' blue Type 07 camo o_O. Also, licensing and intellectual property is a grey area with China anyway, especially when it comes to defence.

The PLA goggles often seen since the 2015 Victory Parade are the "RK17" dual-layer ballistic goggles. You can even find them on Alibaba.
This is the only image I could find of the standalone goggles, so please excuse the watermark.HTB1_.b4KXXXXXctXpXXq6xXFXXXi.jpg

What surprised me was that they didn't take the Multicam colors and just use them in a pixilated type 07 pattern.
The blue Marine and airborne pattern are just to brand them it badges them as PLAN and PLAAF. And not just regular grunts

That would seem a more logical approach from a universalism and logistics point of view... do you know of any issues with the performance of the Type 07 pattern?

With regards to the Marine and airborne patterns, including the vehicles... blue doesn't blend in anywhere? A tourist might miss one of those marines if they were elbow deep off the beaches of Hawaii, but I can't think of anywhere where that pattern would be effective in combat, whilst blue uniforms are fine for show, would they switch to a more appropriate shade of the Type 07 in combat? If not, whoever is in charge is incredibly irresponsible.
