In the same magazine, a bit of Indian hyperbole regarding Rafale's capabilities.

Different rockets of pinaka MBRL with specifications...few more regiments would be raised soon along with new 122mm grad rocket which will replace Soviet/Russian BM 21 GMRL.

India’s First Nuclear Missile Tracking Ship Is Ready For Sea Trials In December....

India’s secretive nuclear missile tracking ship, which will become part of an elaborate missile shield being planned against attacks is successfully undergoing harbor trials and is set to be delivered by December, a top official in charge of the project has confirmed. The VC11184, a specialized Ocean Surveillance Ship being built for the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), is on its way to completion just over four years after it was ordered as part of the Modi government’s focus on creating nuclear missile shield for the nation. Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) is gearing up to undertake sea trials of India’s first missile tracking ship by the first week of October.

Considered a “topmost secret project”, a lot of confidentiality is being maintained in executing the project costing about ₹750 crores. It will be named after its induction into the Indian Navy. For now, it is simply referred to as VC 11184.

The ship was built inside the covered dry dock. It has the capacity to carry a 300-strong crew with hi-tech gadgets and communication equipment, powered by two diesel engines, and a large deck capable of helicopter landing.

From the fighting back in February, I think they've noticed the capability gap between the AIM-120C + SD-10 and their R-77s. Astra is not fielded with IAF yet and who knows how it will compare to modern MRAAMs. For the Su-30s and Mig-29s, they may well go with upgraded R-77s and new R-37s. Meteor with the newest R-37 and R-77 are going to even up the playing field with Pakistan and then some. Americans are probably not going to sell AIM-120D anytime soon and JF-17 can't carry PL-21 or PL-xx, any of the modern long range Chinese missiles. PL-15 isn't even a certainty yet.
