Most likely not a glitch since Indian drones, and even manned surveillance aircraft such as the MIG-25, have been flying over Chinese territory for a long time.

The Question is how far in the PRC did it drop. I mean hundreds of meters or hundreds of Km?
also consider the disputed border games between the two.

Considering the fact that the drone in question was most likely a DJI, I'd guess hundreds of meters to several kilometers.

I mean if it's a few hundred meters to a couple km, that falls in the potential of error, a strong gust of wind and a operator of poor quality can do that by mistake. If it dropped hundreds of km well that is an absolute intruder. After borders are political lines. not physical... well except the Great Wall, Korean DMZ, and occasional border fence.
