I am confused with the title spin from India propaganda media, what the Japanese ambassador saying is quite neutral with a little bit of propaganda. China needs to learn how they are skillfully spread 95% truth mix with 5% lies.

Both the countries identify the existence of a dispute. What remains important in disputed areas is that those parties which are involved do not accomplish to independent attempts to change the status quo by force, and solve the dispute in a peaceful way.”

“Japan is continuously watching the position very carefully and it could affect the stability of the entire area. We comprehend that India is involved in this situation based on mutual agreements with Bhutan. The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made clear that India would carry on engaging dialogue through strategic channels to find a bilateral acceptable solution. We would consider that this attitude is vital towards peaceful resolution.”

I don't think the word "comprehend" equal to support but he made a little mistake by saying there is a mutual agreements between India and Bhutan. There is still no official word from Bhutan that Bhutan asking India for help. I don't know if he is purposely saying that or he really did not know.

The report also only presents half the story on India mentioning that an Indian minister stated they will engage in dialogue without mentioning that India launched a military incursion, confrontation, and occupation to begin with.

There is usually a built-in bias against China in these kinds of report. Whenever there is some intrusion incident reported along the China-India border, it's usually a Chinese intrusion. The truth is much of the China-India borders are not demarcated and disputed, leaving each side accusing the other side being intruding. India media makes the loudest noises most of the time, with western media parroting and Chinese media keeping mum. This time, you heard India media and by extension western media saying that the area of Donglang/Dolam is a "disputed" area. The truth is this is the only border area where there is no dispute between China and India. To be sure, there is dispute between China and Bhutan about this area, but it's been under Chinese control and Bhutan only started to "dispute" the area since the '70s, at the prodding of India. In fact, Bhutan and China have had many rounds of discussions about their borders with a lot of consensus and would have settled their disputes were it not because of India's intervention to Bhutan side. What business does India have in the dispute between China and Bhutan?

So every time you read the news from India or western media about China-India border incidents/disputes, make sure you account for and calibrate with the above bias.

I'm guessing the drills included silencing light fortifications (I've been involved in discussions related to like belt of bunkers around pre-WW2 Czechoslovakia which would be obviously be off topic here, tactically it's a nasty stuff even by War standards: flame throwers, rod grenades, ...)

It is just for a show in real war that is not the way to do it In the age of UAV and MLRS long range artillery
Bunker, Foxhole, and high ground become meaningless

nah, after whatever barrage/bombardment, Infantry has to come to mop up (I think just that is shown in a part of the vid you posted) ... EDIT I'll leave it at that

Don't think so . China is not going to fight like in Korea because Due to 1 child policy losing your only child will bring untold ramification for the CCP. Back then China was poor so they have no choice but fighting from close distance

Plus China can literally churned out zillion of this NLOS, Rocket, artillery shell. No need to become Rambo
Use this guy It come with different munition from HE to bunker buster to Anti personnel aka Air burst

If the goal is to hold territory then there has to be infantry mop up at some point, otherwise it's just cat and mouse where "territorial control" is perpetually exchanged.
