Apologies Jeff I did not see your post until now I have been on and off the forum recently

My good friend and fellow SDF memebr i am very sorry to hear this from you

We shared many family conversations together and i miss the times already that we spent

You always were supportive and great to communicate with

I am again so sad to hear this news, but i know you are a man of faith, a man who believes in God

This life is not going to last forever we all know our birthday but not the day we leave this world

We were born on this earth so we have to die on this earth that is commanded by the one God

Peace and blessings be upon you be at peace my brother

From your Muslim brother Asif from Scotland

Well put my brother. We are all praying for Jeff and his loving family. That Gods peace be with them in these difficult times. We should write Jeff as AFB mentioned, with letters of encouragement and love. He has been our moral compass on this forum for years and we should all be there in his time of need.

I have never met Jeff (in person). However, I am sure that we are kindred spirits.

Thank you my brother...there is no doubt in my mind about that (kindred spirits), in fact, Ibelieve a number of us on this forum are and have been brought together by God's own hand from all over the world on this forum because of it.

I continue to try and hold on...the growth of the most dangerous tumors has not become as agressive as they think they most surely will.

That's because, I believe, God yet has things for me to accomplish here. At some point, when He is ready, then things will take their course.

I will try and do good and enjoy my family and friends as long as I can here in this mortal existence until that time comes.

Amen to every word of that Jeff Head and Mirage Driver, love you guys as brothers, and our Lord has very surely led us here to be compatriots and friends, not only with one another, but with each of our brothers from around this big beautiful world, that our Gracious God in Heaven has created for us. Praying that we will all enter into His Glorious Kingdom together as brothers. bax

Your faith, strength and optimism is a great strength to me Jeff. I pray that you have strength to continue and that your family stays strong.

We may never have the SDF conference. However, I am sure we will all met in Gods kingdom, were ABF and I will be flying some very nice aircraft and Jeff will pilot to majestic vessels of his own design. I love you two gentlemen and me pray for your health and happiness. May his blessings be on both of you.

Thank you Mirage, the Pampa is a pretty kool ride brother, and I have a soft spot in my heart for turbo-props, (C-130 offspring).

I was quite taken with the 60s proposals to place turbines in the North American P-51, loved and do love the P-51, and the Pampa is twice as much fun with two turbines! I flew the crazy little Mitsubishi MU-2, Grand Marquise and I must say that punching those yellow auto-start buttons was probably the most amazing "power trip" in my life.

Hearing and feeling those geared Garrett's coming to life,,,,, lets see if I can give you a feel for that???

"BBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The low growl as the engines and geared propellors began to turn as full battery power was diverted to the starters which would rotate the turbines and props up to about 17% RPM when the ignitors would be turned on and raw fuel added to the hot section followed by an often exciting wwwwwhhhhhhhhoooooossshsshhsh! and about a 7 foot flame blown out the back of the exhaust and the sound of all that raw fuel igniting like a giant blow torch, and begin to slowly at first Growl and Rumble, and then with a Rush accelerate far more rapidly up to 96% plus RPM as those Garrett's literally screamed like scalded banshees trying to escape the inferno's of HELL!

The Garrett's were able to be throttled but only slightly, all thrust from Ground Idle, to Reverse, to Take-Off was handled by the propeller pitch, blades flat in ground idle, forward slightly to taxi,,,, back up and over the safety's into reverse,,,(yes, we did "back it in" to its parking spot every night after returning to Klems Big Hangar. The airplane stayed out-side, we NEVER, spun an engine in the Hangar, never, not ever!

Big Polished Aluminum Spinner, and a huge polished 4 bladed propeller did the honors! Love it, every minute of it, but it did scare the absolute "hoooeeeeyyyy" out of me several times, not an airplane that suffered "fools gladly", in fact my friend Ted died in 271 "Mike Alpha" on Chicago Midways runway one very nasty stormy "lake effect" winter evening, about two weeks after my last turn in the "right seat", Rest in Peace Ted".
