Guy plays dead, gets up and tries to run off.
Oh, make no mistake that western MSM are actively fanning the flames and positively encouraging the rioters at every opportunity.
Just this morning, the BBC radio 4 reported this shooting as an ‘attack’; with full focus on the policeman firing ‘3 shots into the chest of one protestor at point blank range’. They then through out some breathless pro-rioting traitor to spread false news about how ‘enrage’ the people of HK are.
I guess that gentlemen enthusiastically applauding the police at the scene was not from HK.
And also, I am sure the people of HK can dare to voice any opposition to the rioters without having to worry about being beaten up or set on fire in broad daylight in the middle of their city.
Contrast that to the way the British are dealing with extinction rebellion peaceful protestors.
I'm surprised this morning seeing a major news network in the US not hiding how protestor's are attacking passersby showing them setting that man on fire. They're reluctant to but there's a point where they lose credibility showing such obvious bias.
Ding! Ding! Ding! I believe this whole "leaderless" idea and the rioters obsession with sticking to it is proof of outside influence. It makes no sense, nothing can ever get done for any side.
In the interview she even said she hoped for western intervention as they expected PLA to come in. (19:23)
Yes and no. Yes, there is an obvious attempt to disrupt. However, I don't think their goals are the same as Syria or Ukraine. Otherwise, they would have straight up armed them. However, that would have horrible consequences for the entire region.
I don't think looks are too much into it to be honest. Just a coincidence. I think they would have been better off with someone who spoke English better.
Absolutely a cult mentality. It is the only way you can keep saying "we are non-violent" while members of your group are beating people unconscious.
It is not just MSM. One of the points of these Telegram channels and LIHKG is to spread false information. The HK media was always prone to "fake news" even before it became the aphorism du jour. I believe Apple Daily originally became popular due to their incessant following of celebrities and publicizing their candid photos (like TMZ) rather than serious reporting. The gossipy nature of the media has lead to people becoming more susceptible to falsehoods which continue to fan the disorder.
Some examples that continue to be brought up.
Prince Edward "deaths", this has already been discussed to death here, so I won't beat the dead horse.
Teenage girl who drowned. Most of the commotion around this has died down now that they have a new "martyr".
Student who fell and died from parking structure. Rioters are demanding that the chancellor say the police murdered him, when there is no evidence of this. Essentially demanding that people publicly lie. If this is not "Black Guards" behaviour demanding that bourgeoisie class denounce their counter-revolutionary ideas, I don't know what is!
Not only did they set fire to him, they continued to call him MF'er afterwards! How peaceful!
It pains me to watch this, that HK has devolved into such a state.
More of the truth comes through in CNN's still pro-rioter/anti-authorities biased coverage, most other US media are much worse and should not be trusted at all.
Me too. I never imagined there are people in Hong Kong that are capable of such inhumane atrocities just because others don't agree with them. It changed my perception of Hong Kong although I know the perpetrators are not representative of the majority of Hong Kongers.
HK rioters are justifying by saying it's low temperature alcohol used for magic tricks
and that the guy's burns are nothing
they also say he was wearing flame repelling gel to put on act
The face of the arsonist attempted murder
And the politician in denial. He goes as far as saying it is staged!
The poor guy escaped with his life
@Gatekeeper how did they track him?
