On Mother's Day 2015.

It's late in the day, but I had to wish all mother's out there a Happy MOTHER'S DAY!

Particularly to the mother's in my life. My two grandmother's who have long since passed, but whom I knew throughout my early years and into my own life as husband. My own Mom, Georgia, who died in the Fall of 2012, after her 87th birthday...and whom I miss very much and who was active, loving, caring, and an example to me throughout my life. My mother-in-law, Effie , who has been as wonderful and caring and loving a mother-in-law as could ever be had or found, and who herself has been a great example of motherhood and mother to her children, including my wife.

To my own wife, Gail, the mother of our five children and now grandmother of our ten grandchildren...with number eleven soon coming. She has been my sweetheart, my best friend, and an example and inspiration to me for these last 37+ years, and the love of my life.

To the mother's of each of our grandchildren...my daughters Katie and Becki, my daughter-in-law Jolene, each of whom have born multiple children and are working hard, and doing a good job of raising them in the world we live in.

...and to the latest mother in our family, my daughter Rachel , who is five months through the pregnancy of her and Chad's first child, and is and will be a wonderful mother.

God bless you each for your hard work, the suffering you bore to bring these beautiful spirits into this life, and the love and example you have shown. I love you all!

and how will you, SteelBird, celebrate? tell us :)
I remember in my childhood Mid-autumn festival was one of the most important festival. At that time we were poor and no money to buy lantern. So we usually carried our home-made lantern and played with other children on the streets.

Now, we just have some moon cake to pray to the moon and that's all. The kind of moon-cake I'm talking here is the white big round vegetarian cake which is suitable to pray to the moon because Chang'er, the Goddess of the Moon, is a vegetarian (the cake in the red box).
