Exercise involving flying "1,000km beyond First Island Chain"

I can't, yet, read Chinese. So, maybe you can help me. You mention a distance of 1000 km beyond the First Island Chain, yet this construct comprises many islands of varying distances from their most proximal points on mainland (as one reference point). Does the article give the precise metric from which this 1000 km was measured?

Here is an excerpt of my geospatial contextualization of the Island Chain construct to provide some reference.
The distances from the eastern Chinese coastline to the first island chain are as such: to the proximate island Yona Guni, ~382 km, and to the distal island, Tanega-Shima, ~842 km. Thus the average distance from the eastern Chinese coastline to the first island chain, as a whole, is ~612 km.

I think you have to take distance from the H-6 airbases and not from the coastline.

My wild guess tell me either the Diaoyu/Senkaku or Okinawa would be the reference point.

Dude, that makes no sense!
The commenter states a distance of 1000 km from the First Island Chain and my metrics in no way refer to the H-6! The only relevant metric is the First Island Chain reference point from which the stated distance of 1000 km is measured; that's it!
