It’s not your garden variety COVID.
Japanese regime knows its days are numbered as the youth distrust them and are more pro China, which is why they are pushing for war now. Unfortunately for them this will be the worst decision of their lives and they won't be given an opportunity to make worse ones.
My opinion: 90%+ of things the US gets irked about are none of US' business. US should ask itself why Chinese economic influence in South America is more prominent than US influence nowadays. They have been the largest economy for 100+ years and they had South America dronized for a good chunk of 20th century. The fact that US has a country from the other side of the Pacific ocean outcompeting it in South America should tell everyone about how viable it is to rely on the US for trade.
