Apparently, the ship on the frame in the background is the USNS Howard Lorenzen. On Aug 3rd this ship left Yokohoma to monitor PLA activities in light of Pelosi's visit to Taiwan.

Chinese media identified the missile brigade as equipped with CJ-100 (aka DF-100), and practiced striking naval targets.

Quick question: Is the DF-100 supersonic cruise missile only meant for anti-ship role, or can it be configured for land-attack role too?

Brewing some interesting ideas...

The latest JASSM (called JASSMB-2, I think) has a 1,900 km range while carrying a 910kg warhead (more capable than a Tomahawk, while still cheaper). I wonder if any of these weapons from China could potentially surpass that.
