I mean US generals are saying this openly, a potential war by 2025. Blinken said 2027. Marines are now opening a base in Guam for the first time in 70+ years. Okinawa is getting re-inforced.

All the signs are there.
I also subscribe to the thinking that the US will try hard to trigger a conflict with China soon, but it should be noted that the US Marines are opening Camp Blaz in Guam by relocating away from Okinawa. For obvious reasons.

This is significant because these losses were made despite record high oil prices from the Ukraine war, and it’s evident the Norwegians are running out of money despite having a massive sovereign wealth fund; last year they were cutting back on programs such as free education for international students so clearly they’re needing to tighten their belts.
It should be noted most of the fund’s losses were because of poor investment decisions made on the US tech sector- perhaps if the nordics were wise they would have backed the stronger horse in china’s tech sector and invested in Chinese startups.

I am willing to cut the Norwegians some slack despite their stunt with Liu Xiaobo since they have atoned and are apparently less demonstrably racist as say… the Swedes or idiot Lithuanians. It seems the only sensible nordics in that part of the world are the Finns but with the ugly Anglo wanting war who knows how long that’s gonna last.

Oil prices have no major impact on how the fund perform a given year, it rise and fall with the stock market.
China's tech sector performed well in the last months but from 2020 until late 2022 they were a major loss while the US tech stocks were on a run. I don't know what you base the Swedes being more racist on but on a per capita level we have taken in more immigrants and refuges then any other European country. Over 25% of the population here now have foreign roots, up from basically 0% in 1950.

As India drives to compete with China on infrastructure development close to and around the disputed border area, an unfortunate situation has occurred. Many of the infrastructures were made haphazardly and apparently not built to the conditions of the environment. Last year alone 200 Indians died from flash flood and this year to avoid the same tragedy the government has to ask the residents to leave their homes and area for good as a result, many of the residents on this area have to evacuate from their villages that they have lived for generations.

The fund posted losses because stock market went down, Norway does not actively draw from it. Most of the wealth is also kinda "virtual" like all those billionaires, i.e. it is primarily stock, etc. prices. I doubt oil money infusion even has a strong effect on the fund's "wealth" anymore because Norway is not THAT large of an oil exporter and the fund is too big.
