Apparently the US Secretary of Defense Llyod Austin will have a meeting with Chinese officials in Singapore next week.

Besides, it's time for China to start reconsider enacting certain degrees of export restrictions on rare earth minerals to the West if the US-led NATO and allies keeps piling on their hawkish and confrontional attitude against China.

Moreover, it's time for China to massively spike the stockpile of rare earth minerals in her own country.

Furthermore, it is highly imperative for China to work towards securing overseas sources of rare earth minerals as well, considering the natural reserves of rare earth minerals in China would be dwindling in the coming decades. Who cares if the West claims that China is "hogging all the rare earths" just as they claimed that China "hogged all the food", what China should be concerned about from now on is her own survival.

Ursula von der Leyen wants to visit China. This news really should be in the funny stuff thread.
You know something is really going wrong in the west when the US and all its dogs want to visit China all of a sudden.

as usual, begging something in the closed door meeting and then lecturing/blaming China in front of medias

Too many crazy and stupid politicians in the US congress.

Quoting from the article:
"With a Republican majority, we will work to force the CCP to pay back the $4.6 trillion in Congressionally appropriated funds, as well as the $16 trillion of American taxpayer dollars that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic," the Texas Republican continued.
4.6 trillion + 16 trillion = 20.6 trillion USD

Let's take a look at the national debt clock of the US right now:

Whoops - 20.6 trillion USD clearly won't be enough to pay back the American national debt that is still ballooning non-stop.

At least most of the comments underneath are still sane enough. This one in particular being 一针见血:

China should cease exports of rare metals to any industry that has ever benefited from ethnic minority forced laborers held in state run prison camps.

We all know the CPI is fake look at chapwoods or shadowstats for a more realistic figure..

That $20 bucks Cal gave Jack for saving Rose from falling off the back of Titanic is worth more than $2000 in 2023 monies

That $3000 Edward paid the hooker in Pretty Woman back in 1990 is now more like $30,000

In truth by 2025 the actual US debt would far exceed 50 trillion by pre-covid value of dollar purchasing power

Definitely not a coincidence, and it wasn't just the documentary. There's been a few politicians who have attacked India for buying Iranian and Russian oil. There was also the report that released about India's richest man being a fraud. This is a multi pronged attack by the west on India, and it looks like the Indians are realising its more dangerous to be a friend of the west than an enemy.

I'm no fan of Modi or Indians in general but bringing up something that happened 20 years ago is stupid. Countless western leaders have shaken Modi's hand and shared a platform with him in the intervening years, now all of a sudden they're concerned about a few thousand Indian Muslims that were killed 20 years ago? What about the millions of Iraqis, Afghans, Syrians and Libyans that NATO have killed much more recently?
As an Indian myself, and being hugely critical of Modi (also I hold modi fully responsible for the pogrom as the documentary alleges), even I can't help but notice the geopolitical angle in this. Sadly, but not unexpectedly, the indian liberal class and even the left is lapping up BBC documentary as some sort of gospel to .

It is obvious that the west wouldn't attack India diplomatically yet because they still need India to counter china. Hence resorting to these tactics.

Overall I hope more such attacks from the west happen. Will eventually push the indians closer to the Chinese sphere. Even if that takes time, it'll at least help strengthen BRICS.
