Surprising that any 5-eyes military aircraft is allowed to land in HK after 2019. This should be beyond HK government's authority to approve?
Yes. Russia would win just like the US did in Iraq. A counter insurgency campaign that has lasted almost two decades with no end in sight.

British cabinet getting shouted at for 5 hours for not banning Huawei was the first one. This is the second. If I was a Brit I wouldn't consider this allyship. It isn't.
China somehow decided the plane would land, more likely than not it is some sort of turncoat from the west or material related to it. Like those pilots that were providing intel to expand Chinese understanding of enemy forces.
Maybe weapons manuals, physical sets of dual use tech like starlink, people with special knowledge etc.
