Since most of the threads become troll thread where every member wants to prove his/her superiority and how his nation is far ahead of others, some good though provoking , inspiring thread is needed here to relax and have meaningful discussion. Inspired by this ancient system of education, in May 1948, the visionary H. H. Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmjivandasji Swami laid the foundation of the first Gurukul in Rajkot.​

The centrally air-conditioned IT Centre of the school has 56 computer systems installed with latest configuration which is capable of accommodating two classes at a time. The school has a huge collection of educational softwares and interactive games to make the teaching learning process much more interesting.​

The IT Centre is used to teach not only Computer subject but also various subjects like English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Environmental Education, etc. are taught here. The desks are designed in such a way that it can also be used to conduct meetings & seminars for the students and staff.​

The large LCD screen ensures that students comfortably attend to the demonstrations carried out by the educator while practicing on their respective desktops. Besides the main IT Centre, there is also a separate Computer Lab for the students of primary section with 30 computers. All 125+ computer systems at SGVP, including the office desktops, are connected through WAN and the students as well as the staff have their own accounts protected by password.​

The Multimedia Centre, operational with an LCD projector, high-tech sound system and hundreds of educational VCDs & DVDs on different historical events, scientific research, space technology, geographical & archeological expeditions provide students opportunity to visualize those events unfolding sitting here at SGVP. The experience is truly marvelous and it gives them practical knowledge of the topics being taught in an interesting way .​

The Premprakash Library is well-resourced with more than 14000 books available for the students and staff members on wide range of topics ranging from reference books, support material, literature on five languages, fictions, story books, biographies, encyclopedias, etc.​

More than 35 monthly and weekly magazines and 5 different newspapers enriches it further. Provision of a Library, once in a week, is made the timetable itself to cultivate the reading habit of the students. Besides this time, they are also allowed to visit the library during the breaks and the activity period.​

Sports Academy​

We believe in "A sound mind in a sound body". Various indoor and outdoor games develop concentration, discipline and sportsmanship in the students. SGVP has exemplary sports facilities and well-trained coaches to provide continuous guidance.​

SGVP students have won the state-level and national-level championship numerous times in games like football, volleyball, skating, karate, yoga & swimming. The coaching of various games is provided to the students after school hours in the evening. Many of the district-level events are regularly hosted by SGVP on its state-of-the-art grounds.​
