Good that China doesn't buy into the (repeated) excuses of Biden making "mistakes".
Now double military spending and we are ok. Anyone with half a brain cell can see from a mile away, a war happening in this decade
Happy to be proven wrong, but I have still not found a historic precedence where a Hegemon willingly and peacefully handed-over power to an upcoming superpower. Even on the "peaceful" UK -> US transition, we had two World Wars..

Not to mention, the way China calcs Gdp might in fact be understating their Gdp, atleast in comparison to the way US and other western countries calc their Gdp.
The US is serious about it because it knows that China and Russia will veto it so it will never happen. That is how serious it is.

What is even the point of having some "yesman" in the security council, lol. It should be staffed with actually independent countries. No joke, I'd rather see India instead of Japan become a permanent member - as the situation with Russia shows, they ultimately still pursue a somewhat independent foreign policy unlike puppet states like Japan. Oh, and don't expand the permanent membership, just kick the UK out - France at least can act as some sort of EU representative, while Brits being there no longer makes sense. Their daddy USA can speak on their behalf anyways.

The idea that in today’s context the US would defend Taiwan isn’t a change to the policy. Strategic ambiguity has been about giving the US greater freedom of action. How US really acts in a crisis depends on multiple things.

It encourages Taiwan to declare independence, which is the first step...I'm going to sound like a broken record, but how exactly they are going to goad China to attacking Taiwan with these dumb messages. It would only serve to deter China if they are actually going to protect Taiwan. The Chinese leadership knows what they're doing and the what the clowns are up to on the West, if an armed reunification were to happen, it will be because of geopolitical or military reality have changed to require it.

Considering that the USA is on the verge of going under from food shortage, gas shortage as shown from how Washington state is literally going to go to $10 a gallon for gas
and more violence and other such things happening where Biden should be concentrating the most, I think Taiwan should be already aware that a country that is already sending so much

is not going to defend them at all as shown by how the USA refuses to put boots on the ground in Ukraine after months and months of begging and every Asian country can see this shit and know that the USA is full of chicken s!its that recently ran away from Afghanistan of all places. Heck at the end of the day and with way things are going, if the USA does go mad max and Russia and China makes is out ok when the EU is plagued by shortage as well as starvation, the first thing these two blocks should do is to provide clarity instead of ambiguity by removing every deep state element and every single military base near these two nations as a matter of good faith along with formal apologies and massive reparations for all the trouble/harm caused before either Russia and China even considers sending resources to either blocks ever again because it is clear that the EU and the USA want resources from both nations on the cheap while harming the nations that provide them with a shit eating grin and makes one want to beat them up so damn bad and quite frankly neither the EU and USA deserves such a benefit. I know neither blocks would ever want to do such things but really if the people in these places are suffering starvation and freezing temperatures, they don’t have much of a choice between pride and death and the leaders of these nation bear the full responsibility for there cheeky bullshit. In fact the day that Ursula and Biden gets in there hands and knees to beg for help and I mean really beg would be a truly historic event even if it is quite unlikely now, when shortages are ongoing and going south, let’s see what happens because it is going to be clear that these idiots will have to pay the price one day for making all this pain possible
