more on this Russian convey outside Kiev

either Russia has forgotten how to win land wars or Russia is allowing the Ukrainian to leave Kiev

once they have given enough time for Ukrainians to leave Kiev (which is next week) they will go in and Ukrainians left are assumed to go into battle then. So don't expect mercy as this will be expected to be brutal as in any battle, one of the toughest after WII

also I think they will send in the real troops not conscripts

Battle for Kiev will be bloody and I believe we have not seen the worst of the fighting

I hope all civilians get out in the next few days

Z car rally, which took place in all 85 regions of the Russian Federation, in support of our country, the President, the government and the military The most numerous columns moved in Moscow and the Moscow region.

I would be very interested to see if the polls show putin losing support as sanctions hit or the other way around.
The West is just confiscating the money of those Russians who had money abroad. Who do you think they hate more right now?
The majority of the population never had money abroad to begin with. So they won't care.

The West did a great job galvanizing the majority of the population in Russia. Not that there were major cracks to begin with.
I wonder. If you were a wealthy Russian national, would this make you made at the west or would you believe western media and be mad at Putin for this? Not trying to be a troll, just genuinely curious since I don't have a good sense of how this is all playing out in Russia right now.

The Russian Federation is making preparations to disconnect from the global internet system.
All servers and domains are given until March 11th to switch over to Russian based infrastructure.
All domains is probably doable. All servers? I doubt it.

The domains being in Russia makes sense since there are people using DNS poisoning attacks on Russian sites DNS as we speak.
All servers? Do they even have the hosting hardware to do this? And migrating everything in 5 days? No way.

They will probably do a limited disconnection once the deadline expires to test the resiliency of the network.
Then they will extend the deadline again. They will keep repeating this to try to get as much of the .RU network in Russia as possible.
This will increase .RU's resiliency against future disconnections from Western network providers. This will minimize disruption of services in case of total network disconnection like US did to Syria.

Russia is good to distract US/NATO and reduce pressure on China, but China can defend itself with or without Russia. China has nuclear weapons and soon #1 economy on earth, so US/NATO will not rob jackshit from China. If anything, Russia needs China way more than vice-versa.
You do know the US embargoed oil sales to Japan in WW2 right?
And that Germany had a policy of unrestricted submarine warfare in WW2.
Why do you think the US wants to sell nuclear attack submarines to a country like Australia? Put two and two together.
Years back there was even talk to make corsair activities legal again. i.e. surface raiding of merchant ships.
In case of a sea blockade a continental connection to Russian resources could be fundamental for the economic survival of China.

Has this been shared already? Allegedly, footage of a Russian aircraft shot down after receiving two hits by an unidentified SAM system:

Buk? The Russian MOD is claiming to destroy low single digits of Ukrainian Buks per day. Let's say 3 per day on average. Quick Google gives Ukraine 72 Buks per Wikipedia. At that rate that will take Russia 24 days from the start of the campaign just to fully suppress the Buks. Not to mention the remaining S-300s which apparently haven't been fully destroyed going into day 11.

No - if they did that it would only sow discontent towards Chinese amongst Russians. How Russians view Chinese is not much different from how the Europeans view Chinese.

Russia is not China's ally or friend. The two countries are just currently in a partnership of convenience due to common interests and perceived threats, mainly hegemonic Western imperialism. Russia would betray China the instant it would be in her advantage to do so. Don't forget, Russia has supplied advanced military equipment to just about every unfriendly neighbor that China has apart from Taiwan... even South Korea!

China must view Russia as a carefully managed partner rather than a strategic ally. Otherwise, China will only end up burnt in the end. Doubtlessly, in Putins mind, the USSR has suffered a betrayal from China in the Cold War and he would not hesitate to return the favor as long as it benefits him to do so.
Do you have proof of these assertions?

Russian approval rate of China: 70%+

EU approval rate of China: <30% in almost every country except Italy and Spain

Same way???

What data did you use to draw your conclusions?

Russia sells equipment even to it's own rivals. They maintain Mig-29s even for many NATO countries. I guess Russia is hostile to itself too by your logic. Or maybe if Russia has more money they could choose who to sell to. Hmm.

This is the follow up of this story I posted earlier: Ukrainian War Developments

On March 04, the UK media outlet Daily Express, citing the German source Spiegel, says that at least 700 missles given to Ukraine by the German government are "no longer operational". This is one third of the total number of missles from Germany. These missles are already 35 years old. Some missles even have cracks found in propellant.

*BREAKING*

The Russian Federation is making preparations to disconnect from the global internet system.

All servers and domains are given until March 11th to switch over to Russian based infrastructure.
Even without understanding the Russian document, I am pretty sure it is not "disconnect from global internet system".

So long as the physical routers in Russia is connected via cables to routers in other countries, they are not disconnected. What is likely to be done is to change the configuration of top DNS servers (at the national border) to stop using world root DNS servers which are located in unfriendly countries such as US and Europe.

This will cost some disturbances initially, but not preventing data traffic in and out of Russia.

Actually China has prepared herself for such scenario by owning one or two world level top DNS servers some years ago. These servers will synchronize with other top DNS servers in Europe and US. Having ones own top DNS server will prevent "deny of service by DNS polluting" which the US could have done to China. US can only attack China in such manner if either it is willing to destroy itself and Europe and the whole word, or forcing the internet to pieces of isolated islands.

What Russia can do is simply not syncing with US DNS servers, but only to China which in term will sync with the rest DNS servers.

A piece of advice is to be careful in making "eye catching" head lines before investigating its true impact, otherwise it would be having the same effect of western propaganda.
