Proof that Russia is prioritising speed in this war otherwise they wouldn't make such risky move. It works though, every day they move forward a lot but they also suffer from ambushes
I would agree your points except the first one. European elites, like their American counterparts, are anything but dumb. As this war drags on, they are the ones who are falling into an abyss they set up for themselves. And they desperately need a third-party to help bail them out. China is the only possibility that can be accepted by both sides. So they really have no other choices. The problem is that (1) China usually doesn't like to play that kind of roles; and (2) US may not allow China to do so and remain on the sideline.
So I am drinking my Chinese tea and watching how those Europeans are squaring that circle.

This village Peremoha is near the border of Kyiv and Chernihiv oblast eastern border and directly east of Kyiv along Kyiv-Sumy highway. 50.4978972, 31.2592907 firing on Ukrainians in southwards direction.
This means Russian maps from Readovka is pretty accurate for this area, though I think this is more contested than full control.
The DPR and LPR seems to be making the most steady gains recently. LPR is encircling Severodonetsk area and captured 8 settlements in the region recently. Sparta battalion of DPR captures flag of the 15th separate mountain assault battalion, Volnovakha north of Mariupol.
Russian MOD reports destroying 3 Buk M1, 3 radar stations, and S-300 from airstrikes.
That means by Russia's own assessment, Ukrainian AD is still very much active and the SEAD campaign continues.
The link also talks about alleged Ukrainian nuclear weapons dev. Not saying whether I think it's real or not and of course so far unverified. It's a report from TASS so it looks like Russia is doing its own WMD justification along with biolabs stuff.

China on the other hand will sit and wait for decades even centuries to get even, super patient super calculating
both these qualities of Russia + China will benefit each other and actually are complimentary, one is a bottom liner and other is a fine liner
this is why I say China should play the West, allow the West to be preoccupied and now all western nations will be even more preoccupied with Russia while China quality launches another 8 x Type 055
