Although the Admiral is right, this legality is just a toy played in UK politics. There were many British citizens went to Syria fighting on behalf of the rebel side (not the ISIS one, but the one supported by west). By the same logic these "volunteers" have broken the law, yet Britain did not prosecute them.

The reason that this time someone openly made this point clear to the public is that it is Russia UK is dealing with, not Syria. The consequence to these "volunteers" is deadly. So British government has to prepare for the eventual "impossibility"of helping those captured.

I agree China can play a great role here

also they should pump billions into Russia to stabilise the Russian economy, Russian wont forget the favour even after 100 years

also China should learn the lessons where Russia failed
I see some commentors here saying how China should take advantage of the situation and extract as much concessions from Russia as possible and I can't help but laugh

Those are trolls paid by US government to put a wedge between China and Russia. Even though they sound extremely self-revealingly stupid, they just keep trying. Only morons will think others are as stupid as themselves.
