Pure BS. The US has used concrete-filled munitions and developed the "switch-blade" variant of Hellfire specifically to AVOID collateral damage. Can the same be said of Russia?

Unlike China, it seems Russia has not focused on developing airborne EW assets. And, IMO, I doubt that they will “learn” anything from this conflict that will alter their decision-making. If Israel has long since learned the many lessons of their wars against Arab countries using Russian weapons and doctrines and Russia hasn’t, what’s to say that they ever will? Many folks have been complementing Russia’s ground war strategy and observing that they’ve used the same tactics since the Napoleonic Wars. Well, history is all nice and good, but warfare has evolved since then, and, if Russia’s aerial warfare strategies and tactics haven’t evolved since their first air war, they will, certainly, suffer ineffective sorties and unnecessary losses.

), not for ground targets. This is more like PLA (although PLA also has J-16D for direct EW) and unlike US, which has E-8 for ground control. Ground control EW is quite luxurious and is more for a country that can fight wars of choice against weaker opponents since they're very vulnerable in a direct peer to peer war.

You also have to think that NATO is watching and even active in the EM spectrum and Russia may need to hold back EM information for an actual existential war.

I’ll say one thing, if the behavior in this thread is any indicator of general Chinese characteristics, then China will, easily, be baited into useless and pointless battles and wars in the future by anyone that wants to start a petty exchange!

Never claimed the US was perfect. Just saying we do whatever we can to avoid civilian casualties.

China is the most tolerant and patient country in the world that has the capability to be intolerant and impatient.

The countries more tolerant are those with no ability to fight back against injustice.

Russia is also very tolerant of abuse and injustice. This war has been almost a decade in the making.

Guys I am no mod, but I share the frustration that us as readers find it hard to find useful information, when people are arguing things like China vs US vs Russia, militarily or politically - it just won't end.

We are here for the latest news and analysis on the situation in Ukraine, from people with decent knowledge of what is real or fake. Please I don't want to see the thread closed again.
