With all new light weapon systems able to disable mbt, don't know if we will see a lot of mbt on battlefields after Ukraine. Still usefull for protection against mortar but I can see a lot more light vehicules and infantry oriented warfare in the future.

Neither Britain nor France could make that decision independently. Britain literally cannot as their only credible delivery platform is American. A nuclear attack against Russia would be solely a decision made in Washington. Any incoming attack from a NATO country would result in a response against all NATO countries.

America would sooner launch a nuclear attack against France or Britain than get into a nuclear war with Russia.
