Have you ever found a Chinese Government stat that was false, misleading, or discredited by subsequent events?
I’ve been matching their words to their deeds for 60 years and have yet to find a discrepancy.
My hypothesis is that the ‘Bad China Dodgy Stats’ meme was invented to cover MSM embarrassment over reports like these:

Yes well that was clearly going to happen, the moment the US withdrew from Afghanistan. The Uighur Genocide narrative, was just one part of a major strategy that has failed and bombed miserably, in Central Asia. I do wonder if we not witnessing a similar debacle unfold before our shielded eyes in East Asia at this very moment.
