Oh, well then
The only acceptable solution is lithuania repairing their mistakes, admitting their mistakes and apologising and solemnly promising never to sin again, and to beg for China's forgiveness. A Pissant nation of 3mln has to offer more than a pound of flesh to get back relations back on track, and not arrogantly presume that "both sidesism" applies here. They fucked up, they repair it, simple as that.

EDIT: Back in the Ming Dynasty, the peace envoy of the mongols was forced to kowtow again since the first kowtow was judged inadequate.

If China was a "civilised" Western country, it would have already bombed it and then couped it.

Lithuania should reflect on its mistakes, take quick action to correct them, and then provide satisfactory compensation to China about the damage it has caused it diplomatically

I think the larger issue which must be addressed is white supremacism in these european/anglosphere nations, and to some extent presumptive white nations like Turkey ie sneering, racist, supremacist, chauvinist cultures amongst the elites of these nations who assume they can get away with shitting on China without suffering recourse; Norway was one such nation, and even the Norwegians with their superiority complexes were forced to humble themselves to China and that was years ago, well before China's national power is what it is today.

Anyway, judging by the release of Meng and these words from Lithuania, i hazard a guess the anglos have determined the stagflation and ensuing civil unrest are more glaring problems rather than any sort of detente or peace seeking gesture to end this Cold War.

Except if Canada persuaded the US to come up with a plea deal knowing that Meng’s extradition will ultimately fail in court…and assuming Meng’s lawyers know that is what’s going to happen, then why would Meng agree to this plea deal.

It would be in her interest to let it just play out in court, embarrass the US. And be home free and clear.

A deal must have been made between the US, Canada, and China. Everybody gets to go home including the two Michales.

China and Canada relationship can finally move on from this.
1. The Canadians could have presented this to the US, not China, telling the US that as an ally, Canada is letting it know that this is a fight it needs to find an escape for before it loses. China might not have heard anything except the US making the offer.

2. Even if Meng's lawyers were confident in a victory, they might still take 5-10 years with Meng under house arrest in the mean time.
Here is the official release from DOJ regarding Meng's agreement if anyone is interested.

From this release, her admission could potentially be used against huawei down the line about its business relationship with Iran. It's win for Meng personally, but it's hard to say whether this is a win for huawei as a company.
I wouldn't worry about anything Meng "admitted" at all. Meng and her father are some of the smartest toughest people in the world; they know what they can and cannot say. American politicians, on the other hand, are professional spin doctors who can make every defeat look like a victory. "We went in, taught the Afghans a good lesson, and we're going home mission accomplished!" LOL This guys job is to save face for the US and making it look like Meng admitted to some amorphous non-criminal wrongdoing that "might" "potentially" be used against Huawei is the best garbage he could pull out of his ass when put on the spot.
