They managed just fine after they drove out the Soviet’s. It’s a gross and racist underestimation to assume they are all illiterate primitives. There will be no shortage of well educated members, specially in the command echelon, many of which were probably trained by the Americans themselves on the tasks they will now perform for the Taliban.
Similarly, I seriously doubt there will be the kind of apocalyptic mass blood letting the western MSM is hyperventilating while also wet dreaming about. Especially when it comes to people like civil servants, administrators and other non-military/intelligence government workers. Almost all of them will eventually end up returning to their old jobs and just taking their pay cheques from the Taliban rather than the former American puppet regime. Hell, even police will probably be allowed back with zero repercussions.
The only people who might be public ally executed or dragged into torture-murder sites are those who actively worked with occupation forces in direct combat roles, and those who worked for western intelligence as informants or wetwork bagmen for torture and extrajudicial killings to keep their masters’ hands clean. But most of these people probably already got out. What upstanding model citizens the west takes with them.
