Whoa, they are going full steam ahead in regards to making things worse. It is like the us government is trying to come up with excuses for a conflict, no matter who needs to die. But one must wonder if the US government even considers their soldiers human beings or not since if they push too hard, these soldiers may lose it.

You are definitely not wrong in that regard but the again with the sheer arrogance of how it was carried out, it has had the complete opposite affect to what they wished for

Q: Stay or add more troops in Afghanistan?
A: Reason to believe who they are. And we will get them wherever they are
Q: Criticism from Democrats on depending on Taliban for security
A: Afghan mil collapsed. Interest of the Taliban that ISIS-K doesn't expand. Interest that US leaves on time. Asked them moving back the perimeter. Noone trusts them, we are counting on their self interest. No evidence so far that there has been collusion between Taliban and ISIS
Q: Why not stay another day to prevent more terrorism
A: Afgahn people want to leave. We have time to get them out. Further opportunities to get people out after the end date by various means by cooperating with Taliban. For their own interest, they want to keep operate the airport, and need funds. Thus it is in their interest to get out whoever is needed by the US
Q: What you say to Afghan people who helped our troops but cannot get out?
A: We will get them out. Cannot guarantee that every single one will get out during a war(my own summary).

A: Operationally necessary for such unto to be handed to them. "This bus is coming to you, with x many people in them. Please let them through"

A: Former president Trump made an agreement a year ago. I said that it would be messy. The reason for no attacks was because of commitment of President Trump that we would be out by that date and Taliban would not attack. Imagine if I said I said I would stay in Afghanistan and not leave. We would need to pour more troops and lose more lives.
Afghanistan was made from various tribes and not used to work with each other. If OBL didnt launch an attack, we would have never gone to Afghanistan. Our interest was to prevent terrorism and get OBL.

I don't know why just because one has been linked to an assumed compromise official anyone caught in the crosshairs by the investigation must be purged or remove from any semblance of existence. It's like being guilty by association at least that's how this recent turn of events for Zhao Wei is coming accross to me. I wish that in the future there has to be some way to mitigate this type of damage being done to people that have nothing to do with corruption or any other unacceptable activities other than being a friend, an acquaintance of the said/accused perpetrator. Am I wrong for thinking this way or are the opinion on this particular subject is that the current policy or China no matter how stringent/strict is the way to go. I am interested in you guys take on this.
Apparently the fall of Zhao Wei has really shaken some people. There's now a mini bank run on Alipay. Complete overreaction of course.
Why would it cause such a panic in some people to the point that they have to withdraw their money. It's not like they're working for or with Zhao Wei. Some people are just plain weird sometimes.
Zhao Wei is rumored to have deep ties with Alibaba and also Jack Ma personally, so some people see the ban as an overture of a coming crackdown on Alibaba.
