@KampfAlwin Hello fellow ASEAN, I thought your from Germany....lol, yup Borneo should be yours and Sabah ours....hehehe but for unity sake we accept the boundary design by the British.
Yeah lol, they took Limbang and incorporated it into Sarawak, so that's why we're split into 2! Now we got a 30km bridge linking the mainland, built by S. Korea and China which opened last year.

This is not really news per se, but recently my country is currently undergoing a severe Covid wave. We were lacking testing capacity until China offered to ship in temporary testing labs. Here they are now being installed: View attachment 76224

You cannot imagine how relieved I am now, I was scared shitless because we were getting cases upon cases a day whilst lacking testing capacity! Now my gov't will get a clearer picture. If there was an article, I would've posted but so far no local news in my country reported it, not even a mention of the equipment being shipped, just good old Whatsapp rumours which became true.

So thanks!
This lab you see here was first developed in the early days of the outbreak in Wuhan. The initial version was built with portable buildings but you can see here they've further optimised it with inflatable building to make it erect even faster. Wuhan's Fire Eye Lab was built to boost the cities test capacity and as soon as it went into action the number of tests the city could process jumped enormously, enough so that after a week all the backlog was cleared and the temporary measure of "clinically diagnosed cases" (diagnosed as confirmed case based only on CT image) was cancelled as it was no longer necessary.

One innovative features of this lab is that instead of the entire lab being biosafety level 3, most of the lab would be biosafety level 2 with only a small area near the start of the processing line requiring biosafety level 3. This area is dedicated to receiving test samples and inactivate any virus if present. Then the inactivated samples can be further processed by the rest of the lab. COVID-19 is classified as Class B infectious disease in China which means any potential live samples need to be handled in biosafety level 3 environment, while inactivated samples can be handed in biosafety level 2. Lack of biosafety level 3 labs (level 2 is much more common across China) was one of the bottle necks in early days of the outbreak in China.

Huo-Yan or "Fire Eyes" refers to the special disguise piercing vision possessed by Sun Wukong from the novel Journey to the West. This ability allowed him to see the true form of demons regardless of any altered forms they may be wearing.

It's pretty cool. When I first heard the rumours of China flying in equipment, I was like, "How are they going to bring in a prefabbed building?", until I saw the inflatable from the pic.

The Spartans weren't heroes or liberators either.

I don't think so. Let's see some evidence.
Either you believe some of those stories in the news or you don't regarding women's education and rights.

We can say it's "Western Propaganda", but if you look at what China is doing in Xinjiang, it is a priority to get Uighur girls/women educated/working instead of treated in the strict traditional fashion (baby incubator).

If Taliban is more extreme than the average traditional Uighur, then you can draw your own conclusions logically...

I don’t think there is a general sense of euphoria as much as a sense of horror at how badly Biden screwed this up. At least this is how I feel. It is like watching a train wreck.
That is understandable and I share that. Not just concern but I am entertained by the shoddy handling of this by US. This is up there just below the Capitol insurrection and Covid handling for me.

Spartans may not be heroes or liberators (going by factual evidences and actual history). But I am taking about the present popular (fiction heavy) narrative about Spartans ( where a handful few hundred defended against Persian forces. like AD 300 movie etc). They are heroes and liberators as per popular media.

In this case, evidence not at all needed. China itself has conducted talks with Afghans and it included need for protection of rights of minorities and citizens. The statement from Taliban representative on his visit to China included rights for women and children.

Jai Hind with their g'damn hashtags
Yeah, I can see it's a Hindi hashtag means Afghanistan. He might purport the footage to show some humiliation against Taliban force.

But I have quite different opinion and just wanna show the video clip, and can't find other source at some try, and I can ignore the "Jai Hind"-ness or the poster's background in this case for I just wanna show the video -- other thing is irrelevant. Btw indeed I had spotted the video elsewhere in Arabic or other non-English post but I could not locate the post again after giving it a pass earlier, thus I know the video is real.

I saw Ian Bremmer being interviewed this morning on MSNBC. He said Biden should've opened talks with China on participating in Afghanistan with something like drone strikes and if China said "no" this such situation happening now could partially be blamed on China. This is the kind of superficial games the US will play unlike the responsible world-stakeholder Americans make themselves out to be. But in the US's arrogance they didn't see this coming. They thought flowers bloom instantly on the ground they walk upon. They wouldn't have in mind staging such an outlandish fiction thinking if China said no somehow they can spin blame on China. They could do that without a fake meeting with China. And for some reason they don't like countries relishing at their defeat like that's out of bound but they can falsely frame another country...

In some ideal universe without the external factor such as the intervention of the British Empire or any other white imperialist, it should have been the Republic of Borneo -- a political union and unity reflecting the geography constraint itself, purely -- it's just a natural thing that a large island like Borneo be an entity of its own self :p the island just lacked its own version of Qin Shi Huang 秦始皇 to cement that union long before the coming of the all kinds of white imperialists :p

This is the claim, this is the statement I don't agree with.

For the Afghans under occupation (especially women), US and Afghan government have been objectively better than Taliban. That is indisputable.

In what ways are Afghan women "objectively" better under the US occupation than under the Taliban? What measures? Life expectancy? Literacy? Happiness Index? Purchasing Power?

Remember that since you are saying "For the Afghans under occupation", you are presumably talking about ALL of Afghanistan, and not just the middle class or the wealthy living in cities.
