On 08 July 2021 President Biden told the American people that the Taliban would not take over after he ordered the removal of U.S. troops.
I don't know. I really do think that India is behind this, along with the CIA. Indian leaders are just too cowardly to say they were involved. They have a history of distancing themselves from sticky topics.Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Personally I don’t think that India is behind this. If they were Twitter would be flooded with posts by Indian officials boasting that they scored the big one against th Chinese.
That is why the US is doing so many things wrong with regards to its economy. When the govt is corrupted by the MIC, it makes nonsensical decisions. Like provoking conflicts around the world. Like selling more arms to Taiwan. Like maintaining an empire of US bases worldwide. Like only caring about infrastructure last.Weapon making is only a niche market, even for a MIC as big as that of the U.S. Take China for instance. Only a small percentage of shipyard production is for military warships. The true money makers are the civilian cargo ships/oil tankers.
If they want to have official relations so much with Taiwan, they can simply recognize the ROC over PRC. Technically, if they did that, China won't complain.Look at how pathetic they are trying to paint the picture is China's fault.
First you get this:
"Landsbergis said that the US Department of State and EU bodies had backed Lithuania in the diplomatic row with China."
By suggesting the backing of the U.S. and EU in trying to diminish China's legitimate grievance. Which you have broken your promised of the one China policy, that you have entered into when you established diplomatic relationship with China.
"Taiwan has representative offices in other countries, but ambassadors have not been recalled from them for this reason, Landsbergis noted."
Further trying to put the blame on China suggesting other countries (small in number) have "representative" office.
"However, Taiwan maintains de facto diplomatic relations with dozens of nations through its Taipei representative offices. The office in Lithuania will differ from others in that it will bear the name of Taiwan."
This is classic, this appears on the last paragraph when most readers would've stop reading by this stage. But give it it's due. It admits no other countries that have representative office call it Taiwan! And that's the heart of the issue!
Why would one think that any culprit government is willing to reveal such admission in this kind of dirty business?Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Personally I don’t think that India is behind this. If they were Twitter would be flooded with posts by Indian officials boasting that they scored the big one against th Chinese.
You and many other folks missed out the fact that the United States is not a normal country. This nation has been spending most of the years of its existence in war... a warring country of the relentless wars, many kinds, just for a short period the US had its peace moment without engaged in any war any where.Oh I forgot I deleted some of my post. I originally had a line to say let's not even worry about the geopolitics (which by the time of the last pull out will be 0 gain anyway)
There are a lot of profitable things you can do with 100's of billions.
I'm not American, so I'm going to use a Canadian example.
The Canadian government spent close to 20 billion on their part of the war.
This could have built one high speed line connecting a few cities near Toronto.
People always complaining about the high property prices in Toronto, so this could open up some potential real estate opportunities in those nearby cities, which would spur some more investment in turn.
Furthermore, it would take time away from sitting in traffic, burning gasoline, so environmental savings which improve people's health which in turn would free up money from the healthcare system...
Time savings means people can be more productive as well. Maybe they do some work on the train or whatever instead of staring at the bumper in front of them.
This war maybe helped the stockholders of Honeywell and Lockheed, and whatever private people own General Atomics ONLY
