For your information UN did send commission and condemn the riot. But China didn't squeak a thing or offer any humanitarian gesture really pathetic.Complain? I was merely stating facts.
Singapore is ruled by a group of elites who fawn over anything Western, like the doctors who mindlessly regurgitate Western propaganda on covid vaccines. However, if you really believe the US will help Singapore in a fight, I've got a bridge to sell to you.
The West fights wars when it benefits the interests of their ruling Capitalist class, it's called Imperialism. They love to bomb countries that can't fight back, but against those that can, even backward little hamlets like North Korea, they will always be all bark and no bite. This is why Mao Zedong called Imperialists paper tigers.
In contrast, while China doesn't start fights, it will always finish them. Just ask India and Vietnam. Someone who can't understand why China isn't Imperialist like the West really should check their own moral compass. Unlike the US, China works within the legal framework of the UN, so instead of asking why China didn't intervene, you should be asking why the UN didn't intervene.
Unfortunately, we still have 900+ new cases every day for the past week and the minister of health even warned that our health system may collapse if cases don't go down. My father got Sinovac shot yesterday and he said he feels well, no side effect yet.
@SteelBird yup its higher percentage wise but bro ASEAN overall are doing well compared to the other blocs. It's shows the world that the 3rd world developing countries can able to respond though timidly at first but with collective will able to overcome adversity. Here in the Philippines our daily new cases hover between 4,900 to 5700 all over the country, its high but thank god its not the forecast that expert predicted which is 15,000 daily. Being an archipelagic country helps it hinder the spread of the virus, but most of our cases came from abroad from our OFW (overseas Filipino workers) numbering 2.5 millions, which want to come home after being furlough. Expatriating them is a huge logistic problem cause almost all those returnees is infected, some with the deadly Delta variant ( ship crews). Both Cambodia, the Philippine and you may included Indonesia are fortunate to have strong leaders to guide them thru this difficult times, otherwise mayhem will ensue eerily similar to India.Unfortunately, we still have 900+ new cases every day for the past week and the minister of health even warned that our health system may collapse if cases don't go down. Vietnam surpass 1000 daily cases.
Delta is much more contagious. Only UAE which uses mostly Sinopharm has been successfully decreased its cases without shutting down but it has the highest vaccination rate in the world. Bahrain was forced to shut down for a few weeks to decrease its cases from couple thousands to a hundred per day. Bahrain also uses Sinopharm with very high vaccination rate.Unfortunately, we still have 900+ new cases every day for the past week and the minister of health even warned that our health system may collapse if cases don't go down. @KYli bro in our situation death case is pretty low in double digit but infection rate is high, I think the Delta variant is now rampaging in Davao, Cebu and Bacolod cause the vaccination rate is low, need to ramp it up. Here in the Metropolis life is starting to go back to normalcy as traffic is back with a vengeance, the vaccination rate here is nearing at 50% as most of the donated Sinovac is first distributed here and the medical services is top notch.Delta is much more contagious. Mongolia is a interesting case. High vaccination rate has kept the number of deaths low but cases still elevated until recently. Same thing with Chile, it is only recently that its cases start to decrease. Chinese experts believe for Delta you need to vaccinate 80% -85% of the population to gain herd immunity. If these countries data are accurate, then you need at least 60% to 75% vaccination rate to keep Delta variant at bay and drastically decrease the mortality rate.
