I guess too much Hollywood, Religion and lack of basic scientific knowledge, mathematical grounding and logical thinking will do this to people… it just further shows either a failure of their political system (electing people who have no grasp of our physical reality) or a failure of their education system (producing graduates who have no grasp of our physical reality)…Rep.Gohmert isn't really the brightest bulb but in Texas his style and command of facts are the standards they look and yearn for in their God given politicians. Look no further than their current governor, their previous governor Rick Perry, their previous President George W. Bush etc..
I mean hell a 10 minute google search would have told him the answer to that question… and to add further he hasn’t considered at all the potential consequences, or it hasn’t even occurred to him, of what he is proposing which makes him “seem”, and probably actually is, even more stupid. It’s as if America fucking up half the world isn’t enough for him, he would like to drag the whole world along for the most ridiculous solution possible to a problem that can be delayed or remedied, although slowly, as long as the American gov is actually willing to be less selfish for once, before we find an actual solution… and frankly describing him as a lightbulb, even for colloquialism’s sake, is a insult to the inventor, the engineers building the things and the very tungsten that makes up the filament
