@sinophilia bro for us here in the developing world ,China provide us a breathe of fresh air, now I respect your concern since you live in one of those 5 eyes countries, but for us China peaceful rise and its adherence to non interference is a blessing. We had enough of US hegemony and don't want an addition bully in our neighborhood.

Oh I certainly never imagine that China would bully other countries. Any bases would be done at the express approval and consent of those countries, and would only be for threatening the Anglo shitstains and only the Anglos shitstains. They are really out to annihilate any non-White people which want to have their own separate civilization.

The only reason they even let decolonization happen is because they thought 'oh those subhuman mud people will never amount to anything', but if they know some countries might rise to become powerful they would be in Hong Kong still in 2021 for the sake of "freedom".

Thank god mainland China got lucky and got its last cities back in the 90s. If it took just another decade the European powers would have annexed them into their own countries after realizing China could actually be powerful.

How propaganda operates in OZ. That's 5 minutes of my life I'm not going to get back.

So a discussion around China without a single Chinese there. Or even someone with opposing views. Very democratic of OZ.

Also, it's so funny that China having a blue water fleet is somehow a threat to world peace, while U.S. with all its fleets is not. And China asserting it's sovereignty in Hong Kong and Taiwan is not allowed.

So this is typical OZ news you guys diwn there are exposed to? No wonder the OZ is such a rabid U.S. attack dog. There's no hope for you guys. It's a loss cause.

@sinophilia

Please dial back your frustration. There's no need to be so aggressive. It's good to differ.

Why would they need a single Chinese?

Everyone with an Asian wife is a China expert. ("My wife is Chinese American, therefore I automotically have PhD in China topics")

LOL!

Yeah, only way to teach OZ respect is if the australia military finally suffers a lose In The thousands of lives after they start a fight with China and China decides to finally show OZ just how wrong they are. What the west is scared of is a China that will go down the path of vengeance after all the paint the west put them through. Even though China is willing to let sleeping dogs lie (like the Bible preaches no less), there continued prodding and lying is one day going to have a consequence that no one from OZ is willing to stomach. This time is fast approaching and this time, nothing is going to protect them this time.

Behold western propaganda in fully flow.

Cherry pick only those people who support the party line to interview.

Have them casually mention differing views in the most condescending manner possible and dismiss it out of hand.

Be hilariously self centred and egotistical in thinking China is only trying to change the minds of Australians, when even they themselves invoke that the world is watching when they want to talk about their ‘resilience’.

Manipulation and omission of figures, noticed they purposely focused only on southern Australian lobster being free of cadmium contamination when even they themselves admitted it was northern Australian lobsters than China tested. Also using overall trade figures to try to gloss over the absolute devastation the Chinese trade bans have had, despite their entire show being about how badly it has hit Australia.

But the most telling analogy is that through the entire show (including even the name of the episode itself), all of the experts actually agree that it is Australia who is actively poking and provoking China. But China is the bully for pushing back just because China is bigger. That is the very essence of white privilege, that even when they are the aggressor, it is only right because that is their ‘right’ and part of their ‘values’.

What the idiots in charge in Australia doesn’t understand is that this was just a warning shot. China does not want to needlessly damage its own interests just to teach Australia a lesson, but it is already proactively laying the foundations to rid itself of its dependence on Australian iron ore, and if it wants to take a little pain itself, it can absolutely obliterate Australian economic gains from the past few decades.

Australia is being used as an example, either they bend to Chinese pressure or kill themselves to make a point makes very little difference to Beijing and China. Either you bend or you break, either way the message is loud and clear to the rest of the world. Push us and we will push back, and push back harder and longer than you could ever manage to sustain.

That is the key reason Australia and other racist white nations fear and hate China so much, China can end their white privilege of being the bullies on the playground who takes everyone else’s lunches and still beat them up just to flex to impress their buddies.

In the event of a total conventional war, obviously those bases wouldn't hold out long, but that's hardly the point. Their point isn't to assure tactical victory but to insist on American strategic withdrawal from East Asia

And what are you going to do when the US parks a CVBG right outside your base and start seizing any supplies coming in? Start a war with the US in the Carribeans?

You don't need professional qualifications to have a fucking opinion dumbo.

Of course you don't. I'm just pointing out how dumb your opinions are.

Can't wait for the CCP to turn around and start promoting births in a few years and to see you eating your sour grapes like a good boy and pretending you were all for it from the beginning.

The Chinese government has been promoting births since they relaxed the family planning policy four years ago. Try to get a clue sometime.

I think the mainland can set up an online platform for companies to use for recruiting the Taiwanese people. It would be extremely useful.
Actually, this is the third action taken. The first was a ban on HR recruiters/headhunters working on behalf of mainland companies for semiconductor manufacturing. This was followed by actual arrests of these recruiters. Now there is a blanket ban on ALL job adverts.

I don’t think it would affect the engineering/technical job seekers. Those looking for new opportunities know what is available on the mainland. What’s interesting is that now DPP instituting a blanket ban on advertising ALL jobs, trying to in a way, trap people on Taiwan.
