Guys, let's get back to basic.

"You design your weapon according to the war you intended to fight"

It is apparent that 99A is designed to fight in an open space, head on style war. Also as suggested, side armor can be fitted when it is needed.

Seems like the provisions for side armour extension is there within the space provided by railings. Hull side armour can't receive boosts though and that's more than half the area although much less exposed in usual operation particularly when hull down positions are taken.

Hi everyone i´m compiling a list of 120-125mm APFSDS worldwide. When it comes to Chinese models, it gets very difficult for the lack of available of information, confusing name designations, and so on. If there is someone knowledgeable enough around here, i would appreciate some help on the matter.

Expect basically no info, no official published data on Chinese 125mm rounds exist to my knowledge. Even info on the export VT-4 rounds I haven't been able to find.

Some can be found on Norinco's brochure. If you have chance to go to some defense exhibitions or the Zhuhai Airshow you may be able to fetch one. The pictures about 125IIM, BTA2 or BTA4 which you can find on google come from one of these.
But sure they have no public online database about it.
