If by democracy, you mean oligarchy in service of western capitalism with fake elections to placate the people, then yes, you should worry. But real democratic revolution in SEA, based on Marxist theory should be welcomed.

Whatever you want to call it. But there is real chance that as these smaller SEA countries’ standard of living rises, their citizens may want to push for democracy like Korea or Japan.
America will be more than happy to work behind the scene to encourage these revolutions.

West has been perfectly fine with India/Africa's "shithole" status all these years.

I would argue the opposite. When people’s income rises that’s exactly when they start caring about the environment, religion, political system, etc.. they start demanding for more than just life’s basics.
And democracy works better when people are more educated, more wealthy. Basically when a country’s income level crosses certain thresholds. Try implementing democracy in poor countries like Iraq, India, or Afghanistan.
Somehow the more and more that these things pop up, the more and more that I feel a meltdown that leads to mad max in America is the most appropriate fate that nation deserves, as an example for what happens when they keep on lying all the time. I doubt God would be happy that America keeps on asking for blessings while doing everything against what the Bible preaches. It is simply sickening
