Could be a J-10, but missing its vertical stabilizer due to poor images quality. If not, maybe a drone?

I agree that it's most likely a J-10. From that angle, at that distance it basically looks exactly like how a J-10 would look except it's missing its vertical tail but at that distance at that specific angle it wouldn't be a surprise if the vertical tail looked like it "disappeared".

I do wonder, if you get “final” proof, whether your views about what counts as reliable or unreliable information in PLA watching will change.
No.

the rest of us are already content with the picture we have seen. At some point don't you believe your relentless (and unsubstantiated) pessimism should come to an end?

I dont think that you can speak for the rest of the forum. And yes, my "relentless (and unsubstantiated) pessimism" will come to an end....when it is confirmed, which i dont think that should take long.

That's obviously CG footage. The graphics are even more terrible than a PS3 video game. I'm surprised you couldn't tell that it's fake. And here's another thing: please stop posting garbage from fanboy Youtube channels.
My bad. I was wondering why they would painstakingly fake a 20 sec video like that so I asked a few questions about it. I suppose the increase in clicks/subscriptions/revenue are worth the high effort, since fake videos require more effort than Photoshop/deepfakes

Not sure if the video is legit. But the refueling probe is placed similarily to the F-22s for stealth reasons as an extended refueling probe would compromise stealth.
I mean I heard somewhere the refueling probe is typically stored to the side and would only protrude during refuelling? Is it different because of the requirements of J20?
