I thought South Korea and Japan were already siding with the US.
Depends on how you look at it.

The way the US wants them to "side" is to be the on the forefront taking on China, speaking out on issues Americans care about, and impose economic and military sanctions on China.

The way Japan and Korea are currently doing it, is to follow America's lead where they have to (i.e. joint military exercisies) and remain silent where they can.

Basically, the US want Japan and Korea to be cannon fodder, but Japan and Korea only wants to hide in the shadow of the US and not take any meaningful action or even speak out more harshly against China.

The US "urged" Japan and Korea, because it feels it is losing control of them. Maybe the US is right.

Imagine during actual war, which won’t be directed towards SK and Japan most likely, who will charge in first, who should send how many troop? I doubt they’ve even had this conversation.

Will the US just make yellow men fight against each other while they sit back and lob missiles?

Does any governments really fall for the propaganda that the Chinese gov is mistreating people for their faiths ?
I do not think even the likes of Australia sincerely think so, the 5 eyes knew the best what information warfare is about. The only group that truly believe the stories are their own populace that soak up on ABC, Sky News, CNN, CNBC, Fox News 24/7.
This is realpolitik, Western gov HAVE to fabricate issue, then use it as a cover to hit out at China and keep her down.

Japan and Korea should remind themselves about where most of their tourists are coming from.
The USA should simply mind there own business and deal with the 6 week lock down properly since many people are not only going to lose there jobs permanently, but no one in the USA really has the stomach to really endure a shutdown, so sooner or later they can expect real unrest to occur. If that happens, then consider the USA defeated not by Russia or by China but by a pandemic that if they simply learned from China or even requested assistance from China, no of what is happening right now would be happening. Besides, Japan and Korea need China more then they need the USA simply because of the fact that Chinese at least much more likely not to be a walking infected (like the typical US citizen) that would spread an evolved form of the contagion throughout there countries in the name of freedom and democracy and also because they think they own the world even right now

Only problem is that none of the tactics that the USA is using right now is going to work because more often then not, it just ends up cause themselves problems in the long run. Also to not is that all these fake news is only going to blind people to not only what the real threat really is, but also just how advanced Chinese tech and military is likely to be right now (except that they won't be stupid enough to make such information readily available).

China doesn't need to react to them. The views of Japan and South Korea do not affect China's core interests. If China takes a tough stance towards these two countries, the only beneficiary will be the United States. This is a trap.

China should keep quiet and ignore South Korea and Japan.
