Yep, news is spreading of the end of the election. But I do pity all those people celebrating, nothing'll really change underneath. Now it'll prob be 4+ years of deluding themselves that all is great and the bad can be blamed on one man. Not true. Not one bit. Trump was and always has been only a symptom of the situation over there imho.

The US loves to point out when countries join the US against China, they're romanticize as a people of conscience who care about what's good in the world. I didn't expect Bolsonaro to be this low to remains on US side. I mean he doesn't have to bad mouth Trump immediately after Trump lost. He just have to congratulate Biden and remains anti China.

That's how the world works. They go with the established bet which is also the safest. Latin America is going to lean West because they were conquered by the West. China nor any Far East Asian country ever invaded and occupied Latin America and other parts of the world yet many have yellow invasion fears. Why because they were taught that by their occupiers. Also they embrace Christianity. Anybody who doesn't worship the Christian God is aligned with the Devil. It really comes down to being that simple.

Then it doesn't help China chooses to be neutral. To Beijing that means they don't take sides. They think that's a magnanimous position to hold. To everyone else it says you can't count on China to be on your side.

If Beijing wants global influence on par with the US then neutrality is bad. In the long run, neutrality is better.

We are seeing a growing list of countries following China. Many are quietly working with China but are afraid to publicly admit it. It all comes down to how generous China is with the public purse.
