You must understand that majority of those countries are poor developing nations and no matter what they feel they are practically helpless. Let me share you an example. A few days ago a doctor suggested that vaccines be tested on Africans to speed up the delivery. The insinuation was clear. African lives are not important. The head of who's African segment demanded an apology from this doctor. Nothing happened. The French government didn't bat an eye. Neither the media helped in this issue.
In such a situation do you really think China can expect any useful help(not moral or vocal support) from most of her allies? If you still do, then , my friend, you will be surprised.
China is the world factory here. Any attacks to it will do more damage to themselves than China. This much has been proven. I believe in China that it will overcome this obstacle no matter how difficult.

In the era of Peak Oil, climate change, deforestation, resource depletion, population overshoot, pollution, etc limits to growth have already been hit anyway, Covid is a suppressant no doubt, but even without it the world was gonna hit a wall.... only way out of this is techology, and hope new breakthroughs can pave the way such as clean fusion, biomed, other cutting edge stuff...

In luei of tech breakthroughs this status quo wasnt gonna be sustained much longer anyway...

China needs to focus on self reliance now more than ever. Develop its domestic internal markets. Its large enough to live comfortably within itself.

Yeah China is going to take a hit in its reputation but the world needs to sell things to China. You think the US is going replace all that money lost not selling to China? That's what it would take to get the world to rally against China. Most of the Far East has China as their primary customer for their goods. You think they're going to give it up that easily? Even if the US did get them "on their side", they will still be selling to China behind the US's back. The US would go bankrupt trying to buy everyone off and that's not even including the costs from coronavirus.

just a tidbit (I heard he'd taken his family to a beach):

As Health Minister, I have a responsibility not only to follow the rules but set an example to other New Zealanders. At a time when we are asking New Zealanders to make historic sacrifices I’ve let the team down. I’ve made a fool of myself and I understand why people will be angry with me.
I’ve apologised to the Prime Minister for my lack of judgement and offered her my resignation. I also offer an apology to all New Zealanders for not leading by example by breaching the lockdown principles that we should all be adhering to.
While the Prime Minister has decided to allow me to continue in my role as Health Minister to avoid massive disruption to the health sector during the COVID-19 situation, I have lost my Associate Finance portfolio and have been demoted to the bottom of the Cabinet rankings.
I'm very aware that I need to rebuild the trust of New Zealanders. I will be working hard to do that through staying focused on my Health portfolio and the Government's response to COVID-19.

Nations that would use this to turn on China would have eventually done so anyway. Better to find that out sooner than later? For these nations China just got to flat out ignore them.... its the least bad option for China.

To more friendly nations China might do well to at most offer some incentives for financial assistence in terms of if these friendlier nations buy in to Chinese BRI, 5G, etc and offer this on the new digital blockchain based PetroYuan etc.... Basically agree to help them develop, increase trade with China, use Covid as an lossleader or coupon discount opener to set deeper ties for those willing and get them deeper within Chinese hegemony...

While the focus of the COVID-19 pandemic has been on respiratory problems and securing enough ventilators, doctors on the front lines are grappling with a new medical mystery.
In addition to lung damage, many COVID-19 patients are also developing heart problems — and dying of cardiac arrest.
As more data comes in from China and Italy, as well as Washington state and New York, more cardiac experts are coming to believe the COVID-19 virus can infect the heart muscle. An initial study found cardiac damage in as many as 1 in 5 patients, leading to heart failure and death even among those who show no signs of respiratory distress.

From my WhatsApp feed. Impossible to verify from my part. For all it is worth. The horror emerging in India may well eclipse USA.

Insightful article by a award winning writer.

Modi has probably set India decades back.
Very much a Trump like character.

The pandemic is a portal’

Arundhati Roy

Who can use the term “gone viral” now without shuddering a little? Who can look at anything any more — a door handle, a cardboard carton, a bag of vegetables — without imagining it swarming with those unseeable, undead, unliving blobs dotted with suction pads waiting to fasten themselves on to our lungs?

Who can think of kissing a stranger, jumping on to a bus or sending their child to school without feeling real fear? Who can think of ordinary pleasure and not assess its risk? Who among us is not a quack epidemiologist, virologist, statistician and prophet? Which scientist or doctor is not secretly praying for a miracle? Which priest is not — secretly, at least — submitting to science?

And even while the virus proliferates, who could not be thrilled by the swell of birdsong in cities, peacocks dancing at traffic crossings and the silence in the skies?

But was too long to copy and paste here. I backtracked that to below that those without strong stomach should stay away from and not read

I did a cursory check , largely via Google and it is very frightening to me.

That made what Arundhati Roy wrote to be so mild compared with.

Medical facilities concentrated in Indian main cities and hardly anything in the villages.
The lockdown by Modi had absolutely no planning behind that creating incredible chaos and misery
It seems that the lockdown will make the spread of C19 even worse.

India seemed very capable to push USA off its current pole position in covid stack up.
I fear for the Indians in India, and the rest of the world after that.

I think there is some confusion here. No country is asking China to pay for anything; it is small extremist groups or individuals in these countries that are making frivolous lawsuits out of hatred and desperation that not only stand no chance in international court but won't even be accepted for hearing by any reputable judge.

In terms of official national stances, the 6 non-US nations of the G7 vetoed the entire joint statement over America's attempt to call it a Wuhan virus and then doubled down on that when the 14 non-US nations on the UN security council all voted against putting any blame on China.

China can handle this like any country handles nonsense: ignore it.
Not officially because they still battling the pandemic. But once it's over, damages will be assessed and that's the time.
It's concerning because majority of the citizens of so many countries want China to pay for it. It's common sense since so many of their citizens have died and the economic lost and as a result people have grievances that's why you see asians being attacked by common people. It's pretty widespread.

Kidney will be added to that list as well. Anything concerning blood pressure will be affected.

The long term damage is yet to be assessed
