It is a first for the US. I never seen any article from the Western media not paint the Falun Gong as anything but an innocent religion. Of course it takes something bad for them to do to the US for them to recognize it.

Which considering NBC was all in for Russiagate even after the Mueller report basically said there was no evidence. The “Conspiracy theory” being more domestic politics than Chinese.

I read the Epoch times app <along with about half a dozen others> and most of the coverage I have seen is pretty much in line with The rest of modern America media with a conservative flavor. Which yeah anti-communist, But that’s more affirmation of an established view point than trying to twist anything.
What we have is pretty much the norm. NBC news trying to smear a conservative standing paper and using the happenstance of its founders being Falun Gong practitioners. In other words politics makes strange bedfellows. The Epoch times posts conservative articles so they are attacked by a liberal standing news source using a PRC claim against them to try and lay more credibility. Is this shocking? No again well known.

Again hardly news or new the Unification Church owned news papers as far back as the 1970s. The Mormon church has been called a cult for a long time and it has run newspapers since at least the 1850s.
Political and Religious groups have always had there own newspapers, since there have been newspapers.

CORALVILLE, Iowa/CHICAGO (Reuters) - The U.S. Agriculture Department said on Wednesday it had pulled all staff from an annual crop tour after an employee was threatened, and three sources said the threat of violence was made during a phone call from an angry farmer.

U.S. farmers have complained this month that a government crop report did not reflect damage from historic flooding this spring. They are also frustrated about unsold crops due to the trade war with China, falling farm income and tighter credit conditions.
