The JH-XX model? Or could be a stealth tanker concept like the KC-X.

More likely than than the H-20, as it appears to have twin tails which doesn’t fit with the touted all wing B-2 style design.

If it’s a stealthy tanker, it could be a game changer as it would extend the reach of the future H-20 and current J-20 well past the first island chain...

Oops. I was thinking about the KC-Z program of the US. Of course China would be and ought to be thinking of the same. But i think China has yet to reach that level of technological maturity. And BTW, why would china need a stealth tanker ? I wouldn't throw my hard earned precious cash at something costly and niche like that if i were in china's position. Hope it remains a nice concept and let the DefIndustry focus on better stealth Submarines, better stealth bombers and fighter jets AND most importantly a very reliable C4ISTAR capability along the lines of US.

But if I'm not mistaken, the latest rumours hint towards a tail configuration.

was there and took the photos. The model is by AVIC 1st Academy in Xi'an. He/she said according to people from 1st Academy this "The NEXT" has nothing to do with the other "The NEXT" in the earlier AVIC video.

Or This could be a "Sinicised" version of the Antonov Mriya that was slated to be produced around 2020. A much modified and enhanced An-225. It is going to be Galaxy C-5 of China. I think the technology for a stealth program like KC-Z is not mature so...the aforementioned might be it.

Surely never ever, the Chinese An-225 is as much dead as any future production at Antonov

Why should everything new from China being an offspring of some other country? Or why should any slight similarity between Chinese thing and foreign counterpart be worth noting at all?

I see little point in this. Once China has an home grown engine for the CRAIC CR929 they will have all the basic technology to produce their own equivalent of the An-124.

If anything I think the partnership with Ukraine is most helpful with regards to consulting services in terms of airframe design, gas turbine engine design, and things like that.
More than any obsolete design. Particularly an expensive six engine aircraft like the An-225 which is fairly niche to say the least.

Sure it looks cool but, think of it this way, would you rather have a whole slew of DC-3/C-47s or a couple of Me323 Gigants back in WW2?
